Message from the Shomrei Israel Committee
Dear Members,
For the past 14 years, we have held a fundraising campaign at Shabbat Chazon time to support La’Ofek (formerly JobKatif). Through your efforts, we have successfully raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit this incredible organization. La’Ofek helps support individuals and population sectors who live on the fringes of Israeli society including Ethiopian-Israeli young adults, at-risk teens, young adults suffering from substance abuse, impoverished soldiers, and needy discharged lone soldiers.
After speaking with La’Ofek leadership, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to postpone this year’s campaign to the Chanukah timeframe. We hope and pray that by that time, the pandemic will be behind us, and that we can run a successful campaign to help such an important organization.
