Tips For Headphone Placement•Ensurethatthetestsubjectputstheright/redheadphoneontherightearandtheleft/blueheadphoneontheleftear.
•Thecenteroftheheadphonecupshouldlineupwiththeopeningoftheearcanal.
Getting StartedFromthewelcomescreen,thetestsubjectcantapthebluebuttontostartthetest.IfthereisnotransducerpluggedintotheiPad,thebuttonwillbedisabledandwilldisplayinstructionsto“Pluginheadphonestostarttesting.”
Onthenextscreen,thetestsubjectwillbeinstructedonhowtoproperlyputontheheadphones.Aftertheyputontheheadphonesandarereadytostart,theywilltapthe“I’mReady”buttontobeginthetest.

Playing the GameThescreenwilldisplaytheinstructionto“Taptheobjectthatmakesasound,”andthreeshapeswillappearsequentiallyonscreen.Oneoftheseshapeswillmakeasoundwhenitappears.
Ifthetestsubjectdoesnothearasoundpresentedwithanyoftheappearingshapes,heorsheshouldtaptheeariconinthebottomrightcornerofthescreen.Theeariconwillonlybecomeenabledforselectingafterallobjectshaveappearedonscreen.
Afterthetestsubjectselectsoneoftheshapesortheearicon,thetestwillmoveontothenexttonevolumeorfrequency.EachfrequencywillpresentanUpperToneandaLowerToneassetintheTestSettings.Thecolouroftheshapeswillchangewitheachfrequency.
Ifatanypointthetestsubjectwishestostopthetestandreturntothewelcomescreen,theycansimplytapthehomeiconinthetopleftcornerofthescreen.
Tappingthehomeiconatanypointwillreturnthetestsubjecttothewelcomescreen.

ResultsOnceallselectedfrequenciesaretested,thegamewillconcludeandtheContactInformationformwillappear.Afterthetestsubjectfillsouttheformandtaps“ViewResults,”theresultsscreenwillappear,indicatingwhetherahearingproblemispossibleineitherear.Tappingthe“Done”buttonwilltakethetestsubjectbacktothewelcomescreen.
ConfigurationTherearetwomethodstoconfigureSHOEBOXQuickTest.GlobalsettingsthatwillapplytoeveryiPadinyourorganizationwithaSHOEBOXQuickTestlicensecanbeconfiguredintheSHOEBOXDataManagementwebportal.LocalsettingsthatwillapplyonlytothespecificdeviceyousetthemoncanbeconfiguredusingthelocalsettingsscreenintheSHOEBOXQuickTestSoftware.

ConfiguringQuickTestFromthe“QuickTest”sectionintheSHOEBOXDataManagementwebportal,youcanconfigureglobalsettingsforSHOEBOXQuickTestthatwillbesyncedwithallSHOEBOXQuickTestlicensediPadsinyourorganization.
Ifyouchoosenottocustomizethesesettings,SHOEBOXQuickTestwillbeconfiguredwithdefaultsettings.
Simplyclickthebluepenciliconinthetoprightcornerofthesettingsectionyouwishtocustomizetoenabletheeditingmodeforthatsection.
TestFrequenciesYoucansetbetweenoneandfourtestfrequenciesforSHOEBOXQuickTest,whichwilltestintheordertheyaredisplayedinthe“TestFrequencies”sectionfromlefttoright.Ineditingmode,youcanremoveafrequencybyclickingthe“X”inthetoprightcornerofthefrequencybox,andchangeafrequencybyselectinganewfrequencyfromthedropdownmenu.Addanewfrequencybyclickingthe“AddFrequency”button,whichwilldisappearoncethemaximumnumberoffrequencies(4)areset.
Onceyouhaveconfiguredthetestfrequenciestoyourliking,clickthe“Save”buttontosaveyourchanges.
