832-414-7270. Our menu and what members need to bring will be discussed at our January meeting; as well as Brunch set-up and food preparations.Myself and six other members met at The Bridge Over Troubled Waters on Saturday, January 11th to clean & sanitize two day-care rooms. We helped two families over Christmas as well as making a lot of teenagers very happy with your donated Christmas gifts to the Bridge! Ladies, we are making a difference! Please remember that we now have a website: cda2361.org. Isabel and Sayda Soto are always adding new information and keeping it updated. Patty Colon continues to keep up with our Facebook page. Both sites are great sources of information for our members! Thank each of you! Please continue to keep our members in your prayers. Many are dealing with elderly parent issues, health issues, death of loved ones, etc. Sometimes life can get overwhelming, especially for women that work and still manage take care of all. Blessings! National Clergy Consultant Fr. Ed Lamp’s Welcome to New Members

Dear Sisters in Christ;

“Speak Lord, Your Servant Is Listening.” 1 Samuel 3:10., is the Scripture chosen by our National Regent Olga Samaniego [2018-2020]. You have heard the Lord’s soft yet forceful whisper, and you have responded. I welcome you to an illustrious group of dedicated women; the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

As a Catholic Daughter under the patronage of the Blessed Mother, you will show your faith in Jesus Christ, by your devotion to the church, locally and globally. You will join with other women, some 66,000 members in 1,150 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across the country and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, Kenya, and Peru, to bring Jesus to a needy world.

The motto of Catholic Daughters is “Unity and Charity.” Charity is often much easier than unity. In Catholic Daughters you will encounter a variety of women, each with her own opinion and ideas, and each created in God’s image and likeness. Robert Fulghum once wrote: “We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are

pretty, and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.” Only with Charity can we be United.

Again, I welcome you to The Catholic Daughters and your new journey to encountering God as you walk with us. Remember this, the simple act of listening to Christ yields amazing blessings.

May your blessings be in an abundance as a Catholic Daughter.
