Title Silken Waters Artist Linda O’Brien Medium Pastel Dimensions 52.5x35.0cm Linda O’Brien was born in Northam, Western Australia in 1955 and although for many years pursued a nursing profession, has always had a passion for drawing and painting. An established artist, exhibiting throughout Western Australia since 1983, Linda continues to gain recognition in the medium of pastel since becoming a member of The Pastel Society of WA in 1995.

IOJ Aerial Photography offers spectacular image and photos that never fail to impress the clients. Various works of Ian Oswald-Jacobs are often featured in the Australian media including ‘The Today Show’, ‘A Current Affair’, ‘Countrywide’ and ‘The 7.30 Report’.

Title Sunset at New Norcia Artist Drewfus Gates Medium Acrylic Dimensions 89.8x59.5cm For as long as he can remember Drewfus has had a passion for all the Arts and Sciences. Since 1982 Drewfus has become one of WA’s best known artists (having won over 150 Art Awards), mostly for landscapes and seascapes suffused with light and colour. It is his personal ambition that his paintings move people in the way that the greatest music can. He is also possibly WA’s foremost portrait painter, having been commissioned to paint official portraits of numerous Australians, including: Australian High Court and Supreme Court Judges, State Chief Justices, Professors, Governors, Sporting Identities, School Principals, and prominent Business People. He has also been 5 times a finalist in the biennial Moran National Portrait Prize (the World’s richest portrait prize), the only West Australian to have done so.

Title Diversity of the Great Southern Banksia Artist Jennifer Dul Medium Watercolour Dimensions 95.4x76.4cm Jennifer Dul commenced art studies at the local TAFE College in 1988 and completed a Certificate in Art & Design in 1991. In 1997 she completed the Advanced Certificate, majoring in watercolour and drawing. Her work has won numerous prizes throughout Western Australia and is held in private collections throughout Australia and overseas. Jennifer Dul works mainly in watercolour and pastels, with drawing being a strong asset. Her paintings cover a range of subjects from the dramatics of the Great Southern region's land and seascapes, to the sensitive images of her flowers, which have become her "tag".



Title The Boatsheds Artist John Ainsworth Medium Watercolour Dimensions 96.4x78.0cm Lionel John Ainsworth was born on 27 October 1951 and grew up in the Wheatbelt town of Corrigin. He exhibited in over 50 group exhibitions every year and has received over 150 awards. On 25 October 2012 John Ainsworth passed away. As a young boy John began to draw and paint with enthusiasm with his twin brother. There was inspiration all around, because as an artist John’s main interest laid in capturing the mood of a moment. He was inspired to become a watercolourist in 1973. This began what would be a long career as an artist. John won scores of awards for his watercolours and is represented in numerous public and private collections.

Art was always her favourite subject throughout Shirley Fisher’s formative years, but it wasn’t until she decided to attend Perth Technical College to study for a Diploma of Art and Design in 1990 that Shirley became serious about a career in art.

Joining the W.A. Pastel Society in 1996 led to her preference in the pastel medium and as she is no longer a member she must acknowledge that in the ten years she was, the experience was invaluable and pivotal to her development as a professional artist.

While most of her work is executed in pastel, Shirley also works in oils and acrylics. The common thread of the images is the use of her vibrant, colourful palette.



Title Four winged mallee – Eucalpytus Tetraptera Artist Delma White Medium Acrylic on canvas Dimensions 40.1x50.3cm Born in Albany and raised in Mt Barker, Delma White was always had an interest in drawing and studied for a Diploma in Art in 1987. Delma works in pastels and oils. Her pastel drawings mainly represent life in and around the shearing sheds and farms where she spent a lot of her childhood. She found the application of pastel very direct and spontaneous. The ability to apply colour directly to the surface gives freedom and expression to the works. Her oil paintings are more studied and considered and Delma was able to concentrate on the effects of light on shape and form. The Still Life is her main subject. She also has a great interest in West Australian flora, the Sturt Pea being a favourite. Delma also includes some country landscapes in her paintings.

This painting was given to the Darbyshires by Grace Murphy of the Commercial Hotel in Northam who was a friend of the artist. (Signed by Jo Darbyshires 1988)

Title Wooleen Lake Artist Lynne Tinley Medium Watercolour, Ink Dimensions 47.0x28.0cm Presented to the Shire of Lake Grace by the Western Australian Local Government Association to commemorate the Shire Centenary 1911‐2011 Lynne is a South African born artist. She received a BSc degree in Botany and Zoology at the University of Natal, South Africa. She has been working as an artist since 1965. Lynne is now an Australian citizen and has been living in WA since 1984. She has had over 20 solo exhibitions. Her work has become increasingly sought after over the years. Her paintings are featured in private and public collection in many parts of Australia, USA, UK, Germany, Portugal, Namibia, Mozambique, Brazil and South Africa. Lynne is highly skilled in several media. The delicate liveliness of her watercolours and the energy of her paintings on canvas show a mastery of handing paint and line. Lynne’s work reveals the intensity of her search to express a passion for the Earth and its wildness. This expression is informed by a lifetime of commitment to her art.

Title New Norcia Hillcrest and Thicket Artist Christobel Bennett Medium Watercolour Dimensions 54.5 x 54.5cm Christobel Bennett was born at Balaklava, South Australia. From 1971 to 1994 he lived at Hopetoun. During this time he studied the History of Art and Drawing, and tried to capture with water colour and oil paints the magnificent skies and tracts of bush, and the rugged grandeur of the coast line. In 1994 Bennett commenced full time studies at the University of Western Australia, graduating with an Honours degree in History and cognate studies in Fine Arts. This was followed by Edith Cowan University, Certificate in Museum Studies, which enabled him to serve until December 2006 as the Coordinator of Museum Services for the City of Subiaco, and Curator of the Subiaco Museum.



Title Winter Sunlight Artist Maurice M Kennedy Medium Watercolour Dimensions Born in Western Australia, Maurice Kennedy is a graphic artist and painter. He won the Claude Hotching Watercolour Prize in 1954 and the Oils Prize in 1960. Kennedy’s work is represented in regional galleries, public and private collection in Western Australia.
