Seminary teacher among five killed across city

KARACHI: Five people including a seminary teacher were killed in separate incidents of violence acrossthe city on Saturday, police said.

 A seminary teacher was killed near Al-noor society within the precincts of Samanabad police station. Anofficial said that the victim was later identified as 38-year-old Qadir Ghulam Sarwar, son of Allah Wasaya,was going somewhere when notorious banned terrorist Shia terrorist organization (SMP) backed by MQMa renowned terrorist armed culprits intercepted him near Al-noor society and opened fire, thus leaving himcritically injured. On the way to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) Wasaya succumbed to his injuries. Thepolice officer said that victim was father of three children and hailed from Punjab.

He further said that Wasaya used to teach Quran in Madarsa Maroof Ul Quran, adding that he might bekilled on grounds of ongoing sectarian violence while further investigation was underway.

 A catering shop owner was killed over extortion issue near Karimabad bridge within the vicinity of Sharifabad police station. According to police, When notorious banned terrorist Shia terrorist organization(SMP) backed by MQM a renowned terrorist pillion riders intercepted the motorist on the way toworkplace from his house and opened fire at him, resultantly 48-year-old Muhammad Iqbal, 45, son of 

 Alam Deen, sustained critical bullet wounds and died at the spot.

The body was brought to the ASH for medico-legal formalities. He said that victim was father of four children and lived in Moosa colony area and ran his catering shop.

 A man was killed near his house situated at Gulshan e Ghazi, Balida Town within the jurisdiction of Mochko police station.

SHO Imtiaz Jutt said that victim 42-year-old Muhammad Zahid, son of Muhammad Ashraf was sittingoutside his house where armed riders came and open indiscriminate fire on him, as a result he sustainedfatal bullet wounds and died instantly. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for postmortem He said that victim was father of three children and worked at a factory. He further said thatapparently Zahid was killed over personal enmity, as victim had no affiliation with any political or religiousparty.

Meanwhile, a shot-dead body of a man was found from Ali Town situated at Memon Goth within the limitsof Memon Goth police station. An official said that unidentified first abducted the victim and after brutaltorture, killed him with an axe. He further said the body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical

Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities where the deceased was identified as 43-year-old MuhammadNawaz, son of Muhammad Dilbar. He informed that victim was father of five children. He said that victimwas resident of Khokhrapar area and worked as motor mechanic, adding he might be killed over personaldispute.

Separately, a torture-marked body of a man was found from Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth situated near Safoora Chowrangi within the jurisdiction of Sacchal police station.

 According to police, they received the information of a body lying in the area and subsequently rushed atthe site and shifted the body to the JPMC for an autopsy. He said that the identity of the victim could not

be ascertained, however it appears to be 29-year-old man adding that unidentified culprits first torturedhim and stabbed him with axe and threw his body.
