In Merthyr, people who are losing themselves find each other in a choir for individuals living with dementia. A funny, moving and ultimately uplifting production featuring covers of well-known songs by artists ranging from Tom Jones to the Sex Pistols, plus a new song by Nicky Wire and James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers.

Cynhyrchiad doniol, teimladwy a chadarnhaol yn y pendraw, sy’n cynnwys fersiynau o ganeuon adnabyddus gan artistiaid o Tom Jones i’r Sex Pistols, a chân newydd gan Nicky Wire a James Dean Bradfield o’r Manic Street Preachers.

With her father banished and exiled, Rosalind and her cousin Celia, escape the city and run away to the magical Forest of Arden. Disguised as a boy Rosalind counsels Orlando in the art of love. They fall spectacularly head over heels. As You Like It features some of Shakespeare’s favourite lovers, fools and philosophers in this cross-dressing comedy of love and transformation.

New Welsh Playwrights Programme is a development opportunity for established writers, led by the experienced playwright Brad Birch and includes the Richard Carne Award of £1000.

BRIG aims to discover the next leading Welsh Language playwright and provide a platform for their work at the Sherman and on a national level at the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol.

TAITH is our bilingual initiative to develop and nurture new and emerging writers.

A musical comedy adventure for the whole family, featuring puppetry, lashings of silliness and an original soundtrack that will delight and entertain in this new summer family production by the Sherman.

Amateur theatre groups from across the UK compete to represent their own country at the British Final. The prestigious final only comes to Wales once every four years and this year the Sherman plays host.

Mae grwpiau theatr amatur o bob cwr o’r DU yn cynrychioli eu gwlad eu hunain yn Rownd Derfynol Prydain. Dim ond unwaith ym hob pedair blynedd y daw’r rownd derfynol i Gymru, a’r Sherman yw’r lleoliad eleni.

From classical to pop; a tribute to the all-time greats. A compilation of the Top 10 (audience voted) greatest legendary performers. Expect a few surprises and a few old familiars along the way. Accompanied by the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus for a glittering array of songs.

Verdi’s final opera explores Shakespeare’s beloved Sir John Falstaff’s greed-driven schemes to woo married women for their fortunes. An ill-advised adventure that comes humorously crashing down around him.
