Shenme (what)? This exploratory course is for complete adult beginners who wish to gain fundamental skills in reading romanised Mandarin (Hanyu Pinyin). At the end of the course, learners should be able to read monosyllabic and simple disyllabic Chinese words on their own, apart from articulating a few basic expressions in Mandarin. Upon successful completion of the course, learners should be able to: read romanised Mandarin (Hanyu pinyin) differentiate the four tones in Mandarin articulate basic expressions in Mandarin Shei (who)?
