Who I am
• Currently living in Fort Collins, CO• Married to Daren of 24 years and
mother to 3 beautiful girls- Jessica, Erica and Valerie
• Life was changed forever when a driver talking on a cell phone struck my 9-year-old daughter Erica. She was riding her bike home from school.
• Erica died on Thanksgiving Day 2008 from her injuries
• After learning first hand how dangerous distracted driving is and how it is 100% preventable, I became an instant advocate in supporting this cause.
• My Vision is to prevent Injuries and save lives by eliminating cell phone use while driving.
• My Mission is to support victims and increase public awareness by putting a human face on the disastrous impact of this behavior in order to promote personal responsibility
Erica Forney- 9 years old and just 15 pedals from home. Her life was taken by a distracted driving finishing a phone call.
Joe Teater- A 13 years old boy killed by a driver texting while driving.

What I’ve been doing
• Founding member of FocusDriven Advocates for Cell Free Driving; non-profit organization with a charter to educate and raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.
• Appeared on national television shows such as- Oprah Winfrey, Larry King, CBS early show, and other national news broadcasts.
• My story has been featured in Consumer Reports, National Safety Council, Fleet Magazine, and various newspaper publications.

Cady Reynolds- At 18 her lifewas cut short due to a distracted driver sending a text message.
Who is Impacted
• With so many drivers distracted by their cell phones it has become vital to raise the level of awareness and educate the public. Cell phone distracted drivers will cause 1 out of every 4 car crashes to happen today.
• My presentation has caused thousands of adult and student drivers to rethink and change their driving habits committing to cell free driving.
• I have spoken for delegates in Washington D.C., government groups,
transportation companies, colleges, schools, corporations, safety conferences, teen coalitions and many more.
