STREET LOOP THEATRE LIVE THEATRE IN YAU MA TEIYAU MA TEI / IDEOLOGY EXCHANGE COMMUNE

The design aims to preserve the street culture of Hong Kong and to promote the Cantonese street opera culture and other styles of informal performance. It extends the performance space of Temple Street to the upper levels whilst preserving the original street passage at the ground level. Indoor programmes are surrounded by the extended performance spaces.

Mobile Modular ArchitectureThis project is to design a modular living unit of about 20-30 square metre that can be a plug-in module to a modular building as well as a standalone building. The module include a twin sleeping zone, and a wet area.

11 The triangle frame can fit in different kinds of material for client’s needs, it alsocan change the angle to concave or convex.

12 Complete9 The frame used to support the wall and become are window frame

7 Using supporter to fit the wall stiff 8 Using crane to hang the frame and install the frame by 3 worker

6 There are furniture folded inside, when hang up the wall, furniture will set up immediately

5 Using crane to hang 4 point of the roof1 Transportation - 1 truck(12mx2.5m) can loaded 2 units material and only need 4 workers to build

2 Deliver on site - 1 unit only need 9.6mx4.2m

3 Construction - Using crane sling two structure wall from truck to site+

CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE

1:1 Modular Construction Exhibition in HKDI

Display model Interview with HALOInterior spaceHorace Yeung , Sharon TsoiConstruction Detail

We give full consideration of the construction sequence and materiality of the modular while designing. The module needs to be assembled easily and fast , the material needs to be lightweight and sustainable. Therefore we choose timber as the main material.

In addition, we design the façade pattern Aand openings by following the structural frame of the panels.

In this project, we have to select a character who living/ working/ appear in Chun Yeung Street. They may just a little guys who was forgotten by the public. Study all about the character or create a life for him/her,than design a specific area for the him/her.

Fiberglass + Polyester resin = tough , high ultimate tensile strength

1 We use tent to be a mould 2 We use rope and fabric bundle on top of the tent to be a tensile structure

3 We wipe the oil and separator over the fabric 4 Put the berglass on the mould

4 Put the berglass on the mould 5 1 bottle polyester resin + 7.5ml hardener mix toagether N wait 2mins

6 When the polyester resin start to getting dark , wipe them over the tent and berglass
