Crèche’s Rules and Regulations AIMS: To provide child care 1. Aims A. To offer parents the freedom to take up employment or further education and training and to free parents from the demands of 24-hour care of young children. B. To offer childcare which provides a balanced programme of good pre-school education ina happy, positive, and safe environment. C. To organise the work so that all staff experience their values as members of a team dedicated to the welfare of the children in their care. a variety of balls, small bats • interlocking or wooden blocks, construction sets (at least 20 pieces) • washable dolls, doll’s bed and bedding • baby toys, rattles, soft toys, washable or cardboard books • large crayons, paste and paint brushes, non-spill paint pots, blunt-ended scissors • puzzles • sets of animals, cars, trains, musical instruments, tea sets, cooking sets • buckets, spades, scoops, dump trucks and graders for the sandpit or digging patch • push or pedal wheeled toys, tricycles, walker wagons, pull-along toys, doll’s prams, wheelbarrows • floor rugs, play mats • tarpaulins or sheets of strong plastic to protect floor from messy play activities • storage boxes • furniture for small children. 1. Timings of crèche will be from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm and School Holidays (2 nd & 4 th Saturday); National and Festival holidays will be marked as a holiday, because we substitute for your presence not as an obligation. 2.Parents must provide enough food, drink, nappies and two set of clothes in their bags for the duration of the crèche. Books will be provided by the Crèche for the child/ren on a payment of Rs. 300/- per child. 2. Every effort will be made to contact parents/guardians in the case of a serious accident or severe illness before the child receives medical treatment. 3. We cannot administer medicine to your child unless you have first signed a consent form. 4. Parent’s are requested not to bring their child to the crèche if they have an illness (for example allergies \ a stomach ache \ fever or contagious disease). In the interest of the health of all children and staff members this is very important. 5. One months deposit is payable for each child. This deposit is not Refundable, however the deposit which you paid will go against your last

Any child suffering from any contagious / communicable disease, my please be keptat home. The child will be allowed to join back only after a medical certificate fromthe doctor.5. Parents must attend interactive sessions on parental counseling held from time totime, conducted either child psychologist or by the members themselves.6. Food should be provided by the parents for Infant care and Creche with diet chart ofthe child. Do not send very spicy food.7. All efforts will be made to potty train the child. Parents are requested to follow thesame at home also.

8. Mothers wanting to breast feed their child will be allowed twice a day. Please takecare that you leave the crèche immediately after feeding the child.9. No other person will be allowed to pick up the child except the person mentioned i. e.either of the parent or person mentioned in the form and whose photo identity is withus.10. It is mandatory to make entry in the register kept at the entrance while leaving andtaking the child.11. Timings of Vaatsalya are 8. 30 a.m. to 5. 30 p.m. The crèche is open during summerand winter holidays.12. Parents must reach the crèche by 5. 30 – 6 p.m. to pick up the child. In case of anydelay further than that, the parent will be asked to pay Rs. 1000 extra so that we canpay the overtime to the Ayah & the Supervisor.13. Please note the list of holidays displayed on the notice board.14. Parent will always ensure that they speak to the Ayahs in the presence of thesupervisor.15. Kindly refrain from tips in any form to any of the employees.16. All items belonging to your child must have his / her name written on them.17. Daycare children will be provided balanced & wholesome lunch and evening snacksby DUWA.18. If the child unintentionally carries DUWA property home, please inform and returnthe next day.19. Parents are not allowed inside, except new parents will be allowed for 2 days. Weunderstand their concern, they can wait in the lobby area of the school. This willfacilitate early adjusting to the place.20. Any suggestion may kindly be written and duly signed in the suggestion register. Anycomplaint may also be put down in writing.21. Do not be HARSH to Vaatsalya employees as they take care of your children.22. Parents should be requested to provide hats and sunscreen for their children if the children will be spendingany time outdoors during their stay in the crèche23. In either case, always have extra supplies such as fruit juice, crackers, fruit and plain biscuits in case a parent forgets to supply food for their child. Additionally, plenty of fresh water should always be made available.24. Foods such as sweets, carrot, apple, peanuts and popcorn should not be given to babies and toddlers. Chocolates and lollies are not acceptable.25. Ensure that there is access to toilets or a modified temporary toilet, change table, mats for rest time, plasticcups for water, first aid training for volunteers, etc.26.
