Using the Bible to lead someone to Christ:

Let them read the following verses out loud. Let the Holy Spirit work through Scripture.

Rom 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:3 I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.

Rom 10:9-11 If you confess with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Rev 3:20 Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

These five commitment questions are from William Fay’s book Share Jesus without Fear. He suggests putting these questions on the fly leaf of your bible. If God asks you to be the one to lead someone to making the decision for Christ“, then you will be prepared! You can put these questions into your own words.

- Are you a sinner? - Do you want forgiveness of sins?- Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and

rose again ? - Are you willing to surrender your life to Jesus

Christ?- Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and into

your heart?

3. Basic Ingredients:1.God loves you. 2.Christ made a way for you. 3.The choice is yours.

4. Learn to ask great questions. Google it!

5. The ABC’s: Admit - I can’t do this by myself. Believe - Jesus made a way for me. Commit: Today I choose to confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

6. Other tools. The Gap or Bridge Illustration or One-Verse Evangelism by Navigators, The Roman’s Road, The Four Spiritual Laws or other Gospel Tracts.

2.What bridges would work for me?

3. What is my “Take Away” from tonight? What do I want to remember?

4. Optional: Have I had the opportunity to lead someone to Christ? What was that like?
