Shared Services Constant Challenge
Shared Services is in constant need of a process to enter hundreds to thousands of transactions expeditiously, with limited resources.
Option 1: Log system enhancement ticket with BIS Write Requirements Provide funding Await slotting, testing & transport to production
Option 2: Hire Contractors & train them on how to input the data
Option 3: WINSHUTTLE?
We heard about Winshuttle at ASUG in 2009 and was told it was as simple as:
Each month our check printer would destroy checks and we’d have to reverse check payments/clearing documents manually, so saw this as a great pilot area.
Winshuttle “catches fire” in 2011
08 Feb 2011 06:32 AM
A Grand Prairie warehouse was destroyed in a fire that burned all night and sent up a plume of black smoke that could be seen across Dallas-Fort Worth.
The four-alarm fire started about 8:30 p.m. Monday.
No injuries were reported. The fire started on the north side of the building, which houses two businesses: a bulk-mail sorting facility and a company that stores soft drink cans
When a Fire at our Sorting facility burned 1400 checks. This would have taken two days to recover a manual entry effort, but with Winshuttle we recovered in three hours.
