How to shape text

One. Firstly, working on a new layer, a selected the pencil tool on the left hand side and drew the shape that I wanted my text to follow.

Two. Next, I held my cursor over the text tool on the left hand side option menu, and then selected the ‘type on path tool’. Then I selected the beginning of my curve and typed the text that I wanted.

Three. Four.Now that I have my text, I wanted to get rid of the line underneath it. I did this by right clicking the box around the text and selecting 0pt on the stroke weight option.
