Medical Technology

Is our lives in good hands?

Is there that many new things then before?

How do I know this is not all a hoax?

Is it expensive?

Does my Ins. cover the surgery?

Can you do these surgeries on all types of people?

The doctors that are learning all the newest and greatest things are doctors for a reason. There is so many things that has changed just from ten to twenty years ago. Peoples lives are being saved from producers that once were known to be very scary and not done very much because of the death rate.

Heart surgeries are upon the greatest advancements in surgical technologies.

Pacemakers

Did you know that you are born with you own pacemaker? If you need it replaced it can be because of many reasons, one being that you have a irregular heart beat. Some people only need a pacemaker for only a short amount of time, if that is so then they will have it on the outside of there bodies. And others will have it for the rest of there lives.

What does a pacemaker do?

A pacemaker replaces the muscles in the heart that make it pump over an over.

It reacts only when your heart needs it, so if your heart beat is too fast or too slow it will intervene.

It is battery operated and somewhat small.

A “Smart” Pacemaker

Is a brand new technology that is defiantly rising in the medical industry. It automatically sends your doctor your

information, so you do not have to go to see him. Also, it will help with finding out a reason why so many people have these heart dysfunctions, by recording all this info. And

another perk is that if more and more people use this it will save our Ins. Companies money, in turn saving us all

money!

Cell Phones

Did you know that if you have a pacemaker that you are recommended to stay away form house hold items like the microwave, remote control, and your cell phone? If you work with powered machines at work you could be in trouble as well. So cell phones companies are coming out with a new cell phone that will not react with the waves of the pacemaker. Now keep in mind that not all and actually most people have really no problem with these things, because there heart is mostly working on its own. If your heart is usually using this it is more of a risk. I’m guessing that many other companies will fallow in the cell phones foot steps. Since so many people have pacemakers.

Working out

According to the American heart association, doing some sort of movement at least 20 min. a day will decrease your chance of having any heart problem, even if you have family history. Now, keep in mind that this is for the majority of people not for everyone. All you need to do is take a walk, park far away, use the stairs, so many simple things to save your life.It seems so minuscule but isn’t it worth living to do a little extra, hey you might even loose a few pounds.

Conclusion: but not the end of technology

Technology has helped the world for thousands of years, we just forget about the first’s of everything. You need to remember that once there was nothing, now look at our world, we can open a peoples bodies and take and put things in and they can survive, it saved there life. If that is not technology I don’t know what is.
