The Preludes:
(10:55) “Prelude” by F. Keene
*The Hymn of Celebration: “Jesus Calls Us” No. 398
*The Minister: “Let Us Unite in the Historic Confession of the Christian Church”
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
*The Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

The Call to Prayer
Take this moment to prepare to speak to the One who is more focused upon our hearts than upon our words. One who is more committed to us and our soul’s well being than we are to our body’s comforts and pleasures. One who has shown us by the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ the seriousness with which He makes our appointment. The only One who loves us just because His love is greater than our sin. Free yourself in these moments from your fear-filled secrets by prayerfully confessing them in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
The Pastoral Prayer: Rev. John Fugh, Jr.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Got spare change sitting around in jars?
Put it in a Baby Bottle for a good cause!
St. Paul is participating in a "Baby Bottle Drive" to benefit Sound Choices, formerly The Crisis Pregnancy Center of Columbus. How does it work? Well it's simple! Just pick up a baby bottle from your Sunday School Classroom or from the church workroom, fill it with spare change, and then just return your baby bottle to the Church Office no later than Sunday, September 8. Baby Bottle Campaigns are a fun way to help this important ministry provide care and counseling to women in need in our community.
It is time for us to train our third graders for the office of Acolyte in the Church. We are excited about this time we will have together with your child to teach them about the church, her worship, and their place of service by being an acolyte. Acolyte Training will be held on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 till 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. They are also invited to stay for snack supper following the training. The cost for snack supper is $1. Dates for the training are: Sept. 8, 15, 22, & 29.

We are excited about this time we will have together with your child to teach them about the ship, and their place of service by

Acolyte Training will be held on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 till 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. They are also invited to stay for snack supper following the training. The cost for snack supper is $1.
