Additional Comments:Shane is an inspirational leader and has successfully managed and demobilized the two largest Materials sites operated by CKJV in the last 7 months. He has led from the front with integrity and foresight. He implemented a number of programs and initiatives to improve the morale and performance of the workforce. Shane was given two key milestones in Janu 2015 1. Close Quill Way by 30 May and Ship all material from Mason Road by 30 Sep. He has have achieved both of these targets ahead of schedule and without a safety incident.

Additional Comments:Shane has a good understanding of the policies and applies them evenly and appropriately at all times. The manner in which he handles disputes is especially positive.

Additional Comments:Shane leads by example and is a strong supporter of iCare and IIF. He reinforces safety at every tool box and pre-start in a clear and simple manner that is easily understood and contributes to the positive mind set of the team every day. He has a wealth of safety experience in the industry that he is passionate about sharing.

Additional Comments:Shane is very experienced and has a broad background in Material Management. He develops simple solutions to

complex problems, and is continually looking to improve. He applied the lessons developed during the Quill Way closure and applied them with great impact at Mason Road.

Additional Comments:Shane is open to new ideas and his adoption of IIF early in the Project as a method to improve morale and performance is an example of this. He is happy to work with the team and adopt good ideas, regardless of the source. His early adoption and subsequent championing of the CROWS is proof of this.

Additional Comments:Shane is highly effective in how he plans and executes his work. The plan to demobilize Mason Road was challenging and had many detractors from outside of the M&L Group. He simplified each component of the plan, allocated responsibilities and measured the success. He was identifying issues and concerns weeks in advance and putting in mitigation plans to deal with this.

Workplace Behavior Rating Is professional, courteous and helpful. Handles stress appropriately. Emotions, demeanor and overall presence in the workplace are controlled and professional at all

times. Displays confidence in his/her abilities. Sets the tone of expected workplace behavior, leads by

example.

Additional Comments:Shane leads by example and while passionate about his role is able to present in a calm and controlled manner when dealing with the team. He works well with the Client and has been recognized by the Client for his leadership approach on numerous occasions.

Additional Comments:Shane speaks very well. He uses the joint toolbox’s to talk to over 100 Crew at a time and in this time he speaks eloquently and convincingly. He has been identified by the Crew as being someone they understand and trust and that the morale and performance at Mason Road has improved greatly since Shane commenced providing an honest and consistent message at tool box. He is a confident public speaker and is able to keep the attention of large groups for a long period of time.

Additional Comments:Shane takes the time to understand his subordinates and always has a balanced view. If there is a dispute he considers each party and then develops a workable solution. He is able to be strong with people when they require guidance and is able to give clear and frank feedback when someone’s performance is inadequate.

Operations within budget/Schedule, considers cost implication when making decisions. Is a conscientious steward of the company’s financial resources.

Additional Comments:Shane is very aware of the cost of business and is aware with the company’s resources.

Additional Comments:Shane has delivered exactly what he has promised in accordance with the timeframe he made the promise. The safe closure of Mason Road and Quill Way are evidence of this.

Additional Comments:Shane builds teams and leads them effectively. He recognizes the importance of teamwork to a safe workplace. He mentors his team and he listens to feedback and criticism in a positive manner.

Attendance/Punctuality/Time Management Rating Can be counted on to be at work on time and provides sufficient notice to management when

absence is necessary. Not excessively absent. Manages time in the office well. Meets deadlines, is dependable and never

abuses work privileges.

Additional Comments:Shane always arrives early to ensure he is well prepared for the morning pre-start. He is willing to work extra hours and has participated in extra tasks, such as the Materials Cold Eye’s review.Shane is highly reliable and always meets or beats his deadline.

Overall Manager Comments: Shane was given the task of closing Quill Way by 30 May 2015. He achieved this and with such a good record was assigned responsibility to close Mason Road. Both of these tasks were significant in nature and both have been achieved safely as well as exceeding all previous production rates. He is a natural leader who has the support and trust of his people, he has repeatedly gone out of his way to support and mentor his team. He has a wealth of experience in the industry and he has greatly contributed to the overall success of the M&L Group. Shane is one of the top 5 people I have worked with, in any industry and I would recommend he be hired for any future Project with CBI or Kentz.
