Our school photo packages are back, just in time for Mothers’ Day. The photos can be collected from the office or can be given to your child(ren) if they are at school. We won’t give them to students unless we get permission from you. I’m sure there will be lots of excited grandmothers if they get a portrait as a gift for Mothers’ Day.

Our canteen will re-open with a limited menu from next Tuesday, 12th May. Some menu items, such as dairy products, won’t be available. This is because we need to order a large number of items in each order and with a limited number of students at school the items would pass their use-by-date before they were sold. Drinks such as fruit juice and ‘Up and Go’ are still available because they are long life products. Canteen volunteers will be practising safe distancing and proper Covid-19 hygiene standards.

Because of Covid social distancing requirements the uniform shop isn’t opening at the moment. If you have an emergency and need additional uniform items the office staff can usually assist you. Unfortunately you will need to know what size clothing you need because we cannot allow items to be tried on and then returned to stock. The Term 2 uniform order is attached to this newsletter.

At the moment we are still in Phase 0 of the return to school plan. This means we are open for children whose parents are essential workers (i.e. everyone with a job) or for students who are vulnerable. Thank you to those parents who have persevered with learning at home.

Phase 1 commences next week with students attending for 1 day per week. Over the weekend every family had a letter placed in their letter box letting you know which day your child had been allocated. Where possible we have tried to have families attending on the same day. Schools are supposed to ensure that no more than 25% of the school population is on site on any one day and that class sizes should not exceed 15. I anticipate that we may not be able to adhere to these guidelines and parents may want to consider this when they make a decision about sending children back to school.
