Yom Yerushalayim Dear Friends, On Saturday night, May 16,2015 and Sunday May 17,2015 we will celebrate Yom Yerushalayim, commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the estab-lishment of Israeli control over the Old City in June 1967. The Chief Rabbinate of Israel declared Jerusalem Day a religious holiday to thank God for victory in the Six-Day War and for answering the 2,000-year-old prayer of "Next Year in Jerusalem". Please join us on Saturday night, May 16,2015 for a special Maariv service and at 8:00AM on Sunday, May 17, 2015 morning for a festive Shacharit service including Hallel, fol-lowed by breakfast. What a privilege it is for us to live, study in and vis-it Yerushalayim. Isn't it amazing that after 2000 years there is a Jewish government ruling from Yerushalayim? Isn't it amazing that Yerushalayim is the world center of Torah study and Jewish culture? Come and celebrate this and all the other things you love about Yerushalayim.
