Security Guard Management (SGM) provides the security guard industry with training videos and security company management tools. SGM was founded by Bob Arscott in 1998. Bob is a retired Washington, DC Police Detective Lieutenant. When Bob retired, he started Sting Security, Inc., a security business in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. In just a few years, using his experience as a manager he was able to grow Sting into a multi-million dollar business. Sting had hundreds of security offi cers, investigators, undercover operatives, polygraph operators, SGM and an alarm company with a central station.

Sting was the fi rst company to create a real time guard tour monitoring system using barcode technology. This laterescalated into a system sold nationally known as “Patrol Command Systems”.

Bob sold Sting Security in 1998 but retained SGM. Today SGM is the leader in providing the security guard industry with security offi cer training videos, management tools, manuals and CD templates.

The SGM production staff speaks your language. They know what is needed for a security company to be successful. They have put all their knowledge and experience into creating and producing 29 training videos covering a multitude of state required subjects.

An important fact is that our training videos are not long drawn-out technical sessions that put students to sleep. sexual advances to sexual comments. It impresses the depressing and sometimes

frightful effect sexual harassment has on some victims. It alerts the security offi cer

that sexual harassment can result in disciplinary action and in some cases criminal

charges. It also points out that sexual harassment can be emanate from either gender

and even the same gender.

This training video emphasizes the importance regarding why a security

offi cer should always remain polite, respectful and sensitive to the person

In part one of this training session the instructor and his assistant demonstrate several basic self

defense and restraining techniques. The security offi cer will also learn the various methods of

The 24 Tactical Solution Scenario (TSS) chapters program reduces the costly expense of classroom training.

Supervisors can train and test offi cers while on duty. The process works as follows: The supervisor takes a chapter to the offi cer a

goes over the various scenarios. The supervisor then reviews and tests the offi cer. The session is then documented on the TSS control

form and signed by the offi cer and the supervisor. The entire process takes about 20 minutes. Once the offi cer completes the course
