Before you move on with your day, what's one step you can take to simplify right now in an effort to feel Lighter immediately? Maybe ...

o Clothes that no Longer fit.

o Old paper receipts.

o The trash around your house, room, kitchen, wallet, or even trashcan.

o Anything about which you keep saying"I 'LL use this eventually".

o Any pictures, memorabilia, or itemsaround your home or office that don'tmake you feel how you desire to feel.

o Items on your to-do List. Say no to thetasks that aren't a 10 on a scale of"meh" to "this is a task aligned with myhighest point of contribution". Say yesto the things that Light you up.

As we remove what no Longer serves us, we make room for the feelings we desire to feel and for more of what we want to come our way.

We make room for abundance.

We make room for freedom.

We make room for clarity.

We make room for curiosity, creativity, and

exploration.

We make room for things that serve us now.

My biggest wake-up call around anxiety came through my daughter's authentic essence and being. A big part of my parental unfolding has been helping to guide and support her and I feel at my deepest core, had I not begun shifting out of my "doing" mode and more into my "being" mode, I would indirectly exasperate her anxieties through my anxious tendencies. The inner work I have done around creating more awareness (through conscious parenting) so I can connect within myself has been a pivotal turning point in helping my daughter traverse through her own emotional struggles, tantrums, fears and worries. I have Learned to naturally slow down to meet her where she is at and not project my anxieties back onto her. By cleaning out my own inner Landscape, I am freeing the space to receive all of her (full acceptance) without imposing my own triggers and frustrations. And those that do surface (through my ego), I can recognize much faster and center myself more quickly than in years past.

"I was amazed that what I needed to survive could be carried on my back. And, most surprising of aLL that I could carry it. That I could bear the unbearable. These realizations about my physicaL material Life couldn't help but spill over into the emotional and spiritual realm. That my complicated Life could be made so simple was astounding."

"Being overwhelmed is often as unproductive as doing nothing, and is far more unpleasant. Being selective - or doing Less - is the path to being productive. Focus on the important few and ignore the rest. It's easy to get caught in a flood of the minutiae, but the key to not feeLing rushed is remembering that Lack of time is actually a Lack of priorities."

"The best asset we have for making a contribution to the world is ourselves. If we underinvest in ourselves, and by that I mean our minds, our bodies, and our spirits, we damage the very tool we need to make our highest contribution."

Page 23: Sexy Spirit Mom - March 2016

Each morning, before you put anything else in your body, drink a cup of hot water with lemon. The temperature helps wake up our digestive system and the lemon helps flush out toxins. Freezing lemon juice into cubes helps keep servings handy.

Observe each emotion as it arises. Asking questions and observing how we feel about environments, situations, and relationships gives us space to process and honor our true self.

Hold valuable mental real estate clear by only committing to things that are in line with and essential to your highest good. If something's not a hell yeah, then it's a no thank you.

So we must become intentional about first recognizing, and then clearing these feelings. This will require a lot of introspection, which everyone does in different ways. Find a way that works for you - that could be quietly sitting and meditating, journaling, taking a Long walk, etc. And ask yourself, what am I afraid of? What is holding me back from doing "xyz"?

And don't accept the easy answers. Just as we would challenge a friend to overcome obstacles to pursue his/her dreams, we must challenge ourselves. When we find what we're afraid of, what's in our way, we can then decide if what we want is more important than those negative feelings. We can then begin to clear them out and make space for our dreams. You absolutely deserve it, and so do I.

Page 32: Sexy Spirit Mom - March 2016

So slowly, I began uncovering. I knew I had to get down to the bottom and patch up that hole or I'd be shoveling that shit forever. I began observing my self-talk and applying inquiries to test the validity and Logic. I started a gratitude practice, including things about myself I could appreciate. I noticed the List start to grow. I stopped questioning my purpose and blaming my parents for beliefs I had about myself. I forgave. I poured all of these buried emotions and perceived wrongs out of my heart. I journaled. I processed. I spoke with my husband and my coach about what was in the deep recesses of my heart, and even to my own inner child. I Listened. I Listened some more. When I felt complete with it, I blogged about it. I poured it all out until there was nothing Left. I was emptied.

Then, the light came in.

Finally, it could reach all the way down to that hole at the bottom of my heart. I began to heal.

I listened. I listened some more.

Without knowing it, I had created the space in my heart so that I could be filled with Love, the Spirit, my true essence. Whatever you want to call it - it was Divine. I felt it Like a warm blanket, wrapped around me and making me feel whole once again.

What I Learned is this: an empty heart isn't something to fear or to be saddened by. It's a fresh Landscape, a field ready to be planted in. It's a container waiting to be filled. Once a heart is emptied it can only be filled with unconditional Love, with a voice more connected to God and all the Light in the Universe, with a sense of belonging. I now have a deep knowing that I am worthy, as are my children, and you who is reading this now. We don't have to earn it or prove it. Our worthiness is innate.

I Learned that this was my purpose all along. To empty myself so that I could be filled.

God doesn't make mistakes; He makes miracles. Each one of us is a miracle.

Who would write on a page already filled with writings? Who would plant a sapling

where one is already planted? One would look for

an empty page and virgin soil. Become bare Like the earth

so the Beloved may plant His seed, become a blank page

so His pen may write upon you.
