With Prostitution being legal in the Netherlands, Sex Trafficking is now a very profitable enterprise80% of prostitutes are foreign, 70% of those foreigners do not have immigration papers There is a higher demand for prostitutes in a growing sexual industry The number of women being trafficked has tripled

-There is 20,000 to 30,000 Prostitutes in the Netherlands-80% of prostitutes in the Netherlands are not from the Netherlands-70% of prostitutes have no immigration papers, and 50% of all prostitutes are thought to be illegal immigrants from outside of the European Union.
Statistics
• In 2004 there was 405 trafficked people registered. Most are suspected to be forced into prostitution
• In 2008, the number of trafficked people rose to 807. Most of the victims were women, and they suspect more than half of them were trafficked for sexual purposes.
