zation. We serve humanity irrespective of race,

color, religion, gender or nationality, based on

the Hindu principles of ‘Service to Humanity is

Service to God’ (Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa).

Worldwide, the Sewa movement has 165,000

individual projects spanning disaster relief and

rehabilitation, health, education, women

empowerment, child welfare, and tribal and

rural development.

Bhutanese population of Houston to overcome

their current challenges.

Houston’s agenda. That is why we are very glad

to introduce the Sewa Scholarship program for

Bhutanese high school seniors and college

students to pursue higher education.

T H E S E W A S C H O L A R S H I P is set up to

support students in their full-time under-

graduate studies for four years. It will be re-

newed every semester as long as the scholarship

recipient fulfills all academic requirements.

Students will be supported financially with

$4,000 per semester.

W E N E E D Y O U R H E L P . In order to realize our vision of a scholarship program for Bhuta-

nese refugee children who want to pursue higher education, we need sponsors who support our

cause financially. If you are interested in sponsoring a kid through college, there are different

ways to help us:

1. Sponsor a student throughout her/his entire undergraduate

studies for 4 consecutive years. The scholarship will be named

after you & you will have a personal relationship with the student.

2. Support our program financially on a semester-to-semester basis.

You will have no obligation to continue the sponsorship after each

semester.

3. Make a donation to Sewa Houston‘s scholarship fund.

$4,000/semester for 4 years

$4,000, $2,000 or $1,000 for

one semester
