Emissions Trading

Trade in “your” HGWMs/Halon 1301 for 3M™Novec™1230 Fire Protection Fluid To assist in the reduction of greenhouse gases, SEVO® Systems is willing to propose a trade for existing HGWMs (High Global Warming Materials).

-Up to a 50% discount off the cost of Novec™ 1230 fluid, for HGWMs/Halon 1301.

The following agents are available for credit with purchase of Novec 1230 fluid:

Formula Trade Name PFC-3-1-10 CEA-410™ HFC-227ea FM-200® &FE-227™ HFC-236fa FE-36™ HFC-23 FE-13™ HFC-125 FE-25™ CBrF3 Halon 1301

Replacing today and the future With the commercialization of 3M™ Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid (C6-flouroketone), there is now a reason to phase-out first generation Halon alternatives. SEVO Systems offers a long-term sustainable choice. With the regulatory status of today and tomorrow, Novec 1230 fluid is the Safe Environmental Choice that meets the acceptance worldwide. HFCs have been identified in the Kyoto Protocol as greenhouse gases targeted for emission reduction because of their high global warming potential. Due to the environmental impact of HFCs, countries around the world have already taken action on its use. Countries that have taken action towards HFCs include:

Norway – enacted a tax on imports of HFCs/PFCs of 180 NKr per ton (0.18 NKR per kg CO2), for HFC-227ea tax would be 552 NKr ($72 USD) per kg. Germany – Environment Ministry issued a paper in October 2002 with initial proposals for HFC controls, options include use restrictions or bans.

A proposal was expected in J une, but may be delayed indefinitely. Denmark – first comprehensive national law banning HFCs enacted on J uly 1, most uses banned by 2007. Austria – bans HFCs for fire protection in 2003, many uses banned by 2008 with a procedure for review in 2005 to determine whether the phase-out dates are feasible. Switzerland – HFC extinguishing agents were banned on J anuary 1, 2003.

Along with countries that have begun the phase-out of HGWMs, a number of global companies have begun the phase-out in order to make their company a more sustainable business.

Page 25: Sevo Systems

Why SEVO Systems/Novec 1230

Halon drop-in replacement- 2 to 1 agent replacement- 1 to 1 cylinder replacement- Utilize existing pipe network- Variable operating pressure- Save labor & downtime

HFC drop-in replacement- 1 to 1 cylinder replacement due to fill density (75 vs. 70 lbs/ft3)

Page 26: Sevo Systems

Why SEVO Systems/Novec 1230?

Life Safety - Unlike other Halon replacing systems/clean agentsNovec 1230 at Design Concentration gives customer 67-150% Safety Margin, due to a NOAEL/LOAEL 10%- Even at inerting concentrations, Novec 1230 allows for a minimum life safety margin

Vs. HFCs- Low NOAEL/LOAEL allowing for a very low to zero margin for life safety

Page 27: Sevo Systems

Why SEVO Systems/Novec 1230?

Environmental - Zero Ozone Depletion- Global Warming Potential of 1- Atmospheric Lifetime of 3-5 days - Meet today and future regulations

Vs. HFCs- High Global Warming Potential- Atmospheric Lifetime measured in years- Environmental regulations will force phase-out
