June 2017 Message from the Outgoing President

Hi All Seville Pony Club Families Firstly thanks to all that made the May Rally another fantastic rally for all that attended I believe it was one of the biggest in attendances On Saturday June 3rd we held our 2nd Presentation night at Two Brookes Winery organised by Trish Kroeger It was a fun night in a relaxed atmosphere where riders were acknowledged for their accomplishments and achievements throughout the year A special thank you goes out to our Sponsor Boyce Deverell from The NRG Team and Glenda Walker for sponsoring special awards that have meaning and history and enable riders to aspire to be the best they can be Congratulations to all members who received awards You were all so deserving and the club acknowledge and applaud your achievements Please see the full Awards list later in the newsletter As you may already be aware I have stepped down from the Presidentrsquos Role as I feel the time has come for a new President to take on the running and administering of our busy club I have experienced 4 fabulous years in Vice President and President roles and 3 years prior on General Committee Meeting our lovely families watching all SPC riders growing in their equine pursuits has been a very rewarding and enjoyable experience I would like to thank the wonderful committee members who have been an absolute pleasure to work with and really do give their best for the Club Outgoing Committee David Church Trish Kroeger Amanda Wilson and Bec Anderson have all contributed over the years and their support and input is appreciated To all the riders who turn up rain hail or shine with enthusiasm and zest to experience rally days hellip2

It has been a lot of fun planning rallies lead by our amazing DC Team and of course our Horse TrialsDressage Days I am staying on as General Committee to help the new Committee settle in and it is already inspiring to see an injection of new ideas and valuable input proposed for the future of the club Please welcome Tahnee Dewhurst (Eleanor and Zekersquos Mum from Silver Group) as she is taking over from Di Harvey as Vice President She will be fabulous and has lots to offer our club Along with our new committee members Robyn OrsquoSullivan as Secretary Tanya Walker as Treasurer Anna Baker as DC Rachel Edwards Julianna Brennan as DC Team Emily Stokes as Rally Planner Doone McDonald as Card Secretary Joni Kay looking after Uniforms amp Books Andrew Rundle to head the GroundsMaintenance of SPC Amber Shiel-Jones as Volunteer Co-Ordinator assisted By Sandy Garland and Nat Morton Marie Lyons cooking up a storm in the canteen and Kevin Jones Chantal McNally Tami Wescombe Anna Bianchi Pam Smith Di Harvey and myself as General Committee We do not have a President at the moment and the new committee has decided to run the club over the next 4 months If there is a President out there please let us know As you can see you have an enthusiastic committee to work with See you all at our June Rally - rain hail or shine Lisa Tyrrell 2015-2017 President

Information from the Treasurer re Membership Renewal and Insurance Thank you to everyone who has renewed their Club and PCAV memberships using the new on-line process Please know that current PCAV and Club memberships expire on June 30 To ensure you have insurance itrsquos vital that you renew by June 30 Once you have paid all your fees (PCAV Insurance and Seville Pony Club Membership Fees) your membership card will be generated sent to the club and signed As cards come in the Card Secretary Club Secretary and DC will need to check amp sign them Please remember to allow plenty of time for this process especially if you are planning on competing All memberships must be renewed and fees paid to be eligible to ride at the July rally and thereafter Tanya Walker SPC Treasurer

DC Report May amp June Rallies We had a huge rally last month which really tested our space with every available spot being used Thank you again for your prompt replies to the call for attendance Please continue to respond to the Facebook Posts from me or new Rally Planner Emily Stokes as requested and of course advise of any change of plans or new horses you might bring We try to keep everyone in their groups as written but sometimes we do shift combinations between groups to enable all groups to be as evenly numbered and balanced as possible and thus enable all riders the best lesson opportunities Thank you for your understanding of this Everyone who wishes to attend will of course be in a group but if we know in advance who is attending the better organised the groups will be Groups are largely formed using ridersrsquo ages combination stage size of horse and time at Seville Pony Club Over the years this has proved to be the best recipe for lessons and of course having fun with your peers and friends Again the groups may vary from month to month and your replies re attendance will affect this It is again timely to remind all rally attendees that punctuality set-up and pack-up are very important A rally starts at set-up and to be on time horses must be tied up safely in the tie-up area with water hay and rugs and so on before set-up Set-up in the next few months is from 900 ndash 930 am You then have 15 minutes afterwards to tack up and be in your group area on-time for gear check This part of the rally is vital to get started and run to time Running late is disruptive and disrespectful to our instructors and fellow group members We largely get this right but itrsquos up to all riders to be a part of this initial process If you need to leave the rally early please be courteous and advise you instructors and any of the DC Team If you are attending as an unmounted rider you are required to be a part of the set-up and pack-up process too and join your group in full SPC uniform on foot for the rally as per the plan For those wishing to be graded at a rally also please ensure you attend all lessons as per the plan If anyone wishes to be graded at this rally please send a note to me at sevillepcdcgmailcom This month we welcome Sarsha Nardella who is joining the Blue C Certificate Group Finally the entries are now open for our Combined Training Day See the details at the end of the newsletter and enter via httpseventsecretarycomauequestrianEntry601 I look forward to seeing you all again this week on time and ready to enjoy the June Rally Anna Baker District Commissioner

Emma Fewtrell Rush and Emily Tyrrell Jock Fraser Gear Check Jock is the father of Sharon Stanley and grandfather of Jarryd Stanley who is currently a 3rd generation member of our club Jock was Vice President in 1983 President in 1984 and 1985 and DC in 1987 The committee decided to introduce this special award in 2016 to acknowledge the Stanley family and their immaculate presentation over the years Jock is the one who can be found cleaning Jarrydrsquos gear at the back of the float on comp day This award is calculated from points given to riders at presentation of gear check on rally days as per instructor votes Mia Harriss and Emily Hudak Happiest Combo Awarded to a members that no matter what happens out there on their horse they are still enjoying and loving their pony as per committee votes Conor McNally amp Lord Matthew and Charlotte Smith amp Romeo Best 1st Year Rider Awarded to the 1st year member showing enthusiasm and willing to try all activities as per committee votes Audrey Lyons Audrey and her pony Flirt started as a combination at SPC mid last year Audrey always comes to a rally with a positive attitude and is ready to try whatever her instructors ask She has shown marked improvement in all her riding skills at each rally and early this year she started competing Each competition that she has attended has seen her improve and she recently won her section at the KGPC Showjumping Day and then again at the Mentone PC Combined Training Day As well as enjoying her progress at pony club and competitions Audrey and her mum Marie have enjoyed more the special time they spend together doing this

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod The NRG Award This award is presented to the rider who is an active competitor and good club ambassador one who assists and goes beyond what is required Presented by Boyce Deverell who is one of our biggest supporter and sponsors over the past 5 years He is founderowner of NRG Equine Products As per committee votes Madi Buttolph Madi and Henschke (Finn) whist doing year 12 last year continued to attend PC rallies and qualify via a series of events not only for the 2017 PCAV State Dressage Championships but also for the 2017 PCAV State Horse Trials She is the only rider to have represented our club at Two State Championships this year and one of very few in recent years Madi amp Finn and the rest of their team placed a very impressive 2nd in Grade 2 at the Dressage Championships and they finished mid-field in a tough section at State Horse Trials Champs She was also an important member of the 2nd placing team at the State Horse Trials Madi amp her other horse Louie also qualified for the 2017 State Dressage Championships in Grade 1 however they withdrew so she could concentrate on 1 horse Madi amp Finn were also one of only two Grade 2 Combinations from Seville who lead the way at the North Metro Zone Yeringberg Teams Event this year enabling some of your younger club riders to be part of a full team at this event Madi is always a helper at pony club rallies and competitions as are her very supportive and hard working parents Jacqui and Jeremy who willingly turn their hand to any pony club job big or small Madi is particularly admired by some of our youngest riders for her quiet and understated achievements and success Elizabeth Walker Encouragement Award Liz was a member of SPC and tragically died in a car accident shortly after her 18th birthday The philosophy behind Lizrsquos parents (Glenda and Wayne) kindly donating this award is Liz was a rider who when out and about competing won numerous competitions and ribbons for SPC She was lucky enough to have regular lessons and have various horses to ride and was often the envy of other riders The Liz Walker award is to encourage riders who may not always succeed in prizes or ribbons but to boost their confidence to carry on doing what they love with their horses even if their horse is complicated or green As per instructor votes Alex Phelan

Whilst Alex has indeed enjoyed some success and won some ribbons at competitions she is also known for her tenacity and ability to remain positive and happy in pony club lessons and at competitions when her adorable yet cheeky pony Toby One Kenobie (Toby) bucks and rears resulting in her landing on the ground Most recently they were eliminated at a Show-Jumping comp after Toby bucked off mid-round Despite this she gets back on and continues to smile carry on and stay on and loving her pony Alex works hard in lessons and practice sometimes to the great amusement and sometimes fright of those who witness Tobyrsquos famous bucking performances Alex is always good humoured about Tobyrsquos shows despite the many bruises she may have had

Senior Award This award started in 1980 according to the website The recipient of this award has shown a positive attitude towards officials volunteers committee their peers and demonstrated great club spirit when out competing They have shown improvement

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod and development as a rider successful competition performances as well as the motivation and desire to advance up through the grades as per committee votes Maddy Kitto Maddy is a very regular rally attender and has made significant progress through the grades in pony club over the last 12 months She has been a very busy and hard-working competitor on two horses Grade 1lsquos Meanwhile Astroman (Astro) and Grade 2rsquos My Friend Jack (Leo) and via several attempts both horses qualified for the 2017 PCAV State Horse Trials They won some events but also had some set-backs along the way Unfortunately Astro was injured resulting in her scratching him from the State Event but she persevered with Leo whorsquos not known for his water jump prowess to finish the event successfully Maddy is always smiling and radiating positive club spirit even when things donrsquot always go the way she would like to (especially water jumps) She is also encouraging and kind to other riders and mindful of their needs especially at rallies She is obliging polite and courteous to coaches officials volunteers and committee members and helps with any job in between her busy schedule at events Maddy is supported by her hardworking and kind parents Melissa and Pete who also always offer a kind word to others and lend a hand when able Presidentrsquos Award This award was started in 2016 to acknowledge and appreciate outstanding contributions to the Seville Pony Club This year the Presidentrsquos award goes to The Garland and Johnson-Clarke Families for their continued support and outstanding contribution throughout the year I would like to applaud both families for their endless support during all Pony Club activities The Garland and Johnson-Clarke families are always available and on hand during rallies competitions fundraisers and working bees ready to impart their knowledge and experience gained over the years whilst on the committee and continue to do so even though they are no longer on the committee and sometime do not have children riding at events They are true community minded positive people who always contribute with a smile on their face and we are so fortunate and adore having them as part of our club Club Appreciation This award goes to an inspirational leader positive role model as a club member who contributes to club activities of both riding and non-riding (eg set-up working bees) as per committee votes Anna Church Anna is a true leader volunteering herself to lead the seniors in the Xmas Rally planning encouraging other riders and families to assist at club and zone competitions offering to help at rallies and turning up for club and zone working bees Anna always makes time to watch younger club members at competitions and offer encouragement and support She is an ambitious high achieving rider who has numerous titles to her and her horse Viewbank Iconrsquos names including a prestigious 2016 Off The Track win last year against some well-known EA riders and most recently as the PCAV State Horse Trials Grade 1 Champion Anna amp Con have worked very hard and moved through the pony club grades gradually and obviously very successfully Anna has no doubt learnt the value of contribution to club from her Dad David Church who has been a hard-working committee member for several years

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod Ian Noble Club trophy (aka Ugly Mug) ndash is a perpetual award given to the person deemed to be acknowledged for their outstanding contributions towards the club over the past 12 months This award started in 1991 Anna Baker This award goes to an individual who Irsquom sure you all agree has meticulously planned and administered every rally over the past year with the utmost thought and care in a true club spirit This individual has also been responsible for organising our 2 major fundraisers the SPC 2 Day Event and Dressage Weekend Her enthusiasm and perseverance has ensured these events to run smoothly with a very high standard and a maximum profit She doesnrsquot miss a beat quite often on the phone talking to someone is also known to be texting on the same device and flicking off emails to the Northern Metro Zone or the latest Sponsorship opportunity whilst trying to get her supporting tribe to their next lesson in a complete uniform including the location of that disappearing armband We all know how she loves seeing the entire club in uniform She is also responsible for the setting up and administering the Seville Pony Club Public Facebook and Instagram pages Constantly drawing public awareness which has helped the club create a profile amongst the equine community in the Yarra Valley and beyond She is jamming our Facebook feeds with the latest updates of SPC membersrsquo experiences whether itrsquos a success at a competition achieving personal goals capturing those magic moments out and about or the cutest young rider beginning their Pony Club journey She must have more Facebook friends and Instagram followers than all of us combined Please join me in awarding this yearrsquos Ian Noble Club Trophy (aka the Ugly Mug)

Farewell and thanks to the following Committee Members

Leaving Position Di Harvey ndash Vice President The Harveys Eliza and Mille as well as Di Newton and Harry have been at Seville Pony Club for many many years Di has been on the General Committee for some years before being Treasurer President and most recently Vice President Di has a wealth of knowledge about all things pony club This year she was the co-convenor of the cross country phase at this yearrsquos Horse Trials We thank Di for everything over the last few years and are grateful that she remains on the General Committee Outgoing Committee Amanda Wilson ndash Rally Planner The Wilson family Amanda Craig Ashleigh and Katie came to Seville a few years ago and immersed themselves into club immediately Amanda has been a member of the general committee in that time and for the last couple of years she has been a very capable and competent member of the DC Team as Rally Planner The Rally Planning role requires creativity and the skills to mesh together a range of activities for riders of all ages and levels into a very small space Amanda also liaised with and sourced many of our amazing instructors and has been a wonderful communicator with the DC and team to ensure that every rally is perfectly planned This year Amanda co-ran the very busy Show Jumping phase of the Seville Horse Trials with Michael Mavor Amanda has done all of these things on top of a new full time job this year We thank you Amanda for all your time and fantastic hard work as Rally Planner and Committee Member You will be sorely missed by the Committee particularly the DC Trish Kroeger ndash General Committee Trish and Kyle started at Seville Pony Club around 8 years ago and she has been a dynamic Committee Member for the last 4 years Most recently Trish has also been a vital member of the DC team as the incredibly hard worker behind the scenes of the D C and other PCAV certificates But ldquoTrishyrdquo is perhaps best known for her unofficial waste management role or rubbish bin obsession The club grounds donrsquot just look neat and tidy naturally Trish or Trashy as she is affectionately known by the Committee is the meticulous overseer of this not so desirable job and she has been known on multiple occasions to count beer cans that she has collected off the grounds and squashed into in our bins courtesy of some uninvited grounds users She is usually the last to leave the grounds after a rally or competition on-account of this rubbish and bin obsession and we are all the more-lucky for this Kyle will agree wersquore sure as he has to wait long after all the other riders have got home to even leave As well though over the years Trish has turned her hand to any role at pony club ably assisting as secretary meeting chair DC Grounds Maintenance Guru Assistant Horse Trials Event Planner or any of the other official roles Trish has always been there to take on any job without batting an eyelid Last year she was the very worthy recipient of the Ian Noble

Farewell and thanks to the following Committee Members contrsquod or Ugly Mug Trophy recognising her willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done for the club She has been an incredible supporter to the committee and the DC Team and has the phone bill to prove it We thank Trishy for all of this and of course Kyle Oli and Flynn who have patiently allowed her to do this Trishy yoursquore a Jack or Trashy of All Trades and wersquoll REALLY miss you Lisa Tyrrell ndash President With three daughters Emily Lucy and Jessica (two of whom are still active members) Lisa is now officially an SPC Veteran having been a club parent for more than 10 years Lisa has fitted so much into her time at Seville and we are all the more-stronger for it She has been on the Committee for most of her time at the club as a general member as well as managing the uniforms as Vice President for some time and most recently for the last two years as our energetic and inspirational President Lisa has been a most positive leader and is known for her ldquocan-dordquo attitude Always putting the club and members first often at the expense of her work food shopping for the family and other daily family things including a shower () she has worked incredibly hard to make Seville Pony Club the successful club that it is today As well as her Vice President and President roles Lisa can do and has done just about every other job on the committee She has performed many a secretarial treasury canteen DC rally planning grounds maintenance web site management working bee amp volunteer co-ordinator event organising role in her time all whilst still fulfilling her official duties She is always an enthusiastic supporter and helper at other club zone and state events Lisa is always one of the first to arrive at a rally (often leaving her girls to get themselves and their gear there) and usually has the shed open and trailer out before anyone else has arrived She spent many months last year climbing into the shed in the dark via a half opened side door negotiating her way over equipment to slide the damaged roller door up from the inside with some near slips doing so She also of course organised for the roller door to be fixed In between rallies apart from the numerous hours she spends on the phone to PCAV or other Committee members she often comes to the grounds to smudge arenas get rid of weeds or ensure the bins are out and emptied (especially when Trish is away) Like Trish she is usually the last to leave a rally and her girls have often been sighted sitting on the side of Quayle Road in the dark waiting patiently for her to collect them Lisa has done all this purely for the benefit of Seville Pony Club and its members In all her roles her purpose has been to ensure the members enjoy being part of the club have fun and are safe We thank you Lisa for your years of contributing to the club and are grateful that you remain as a club parent and an inspirational support to the new Committee

Leaving the Club David Church ndash General Committee David father of one of our most senior riders Anna has been a longstanding member of the SPC Committee having been Vice President for some years and most recently a General member David has contributed in many ways and also frequently volunteered as Doctor and medical support at rallies and events He has been a quietly spoken loyal and diligent meeting attendee and often the only gentleman amongst a crowd of enthusiastic ladies Always a voice of reason and sense David and Anna and the Church family will be fondly remembered for their 10 plus years at Seville Pony Club and we will miss them very much Bec Anderson - Secretary Bec and Georgia have been members of Seville for several years and Bec has been Club Secretary for the last year Georgia is a one-time recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Walker Award Shortly after Bec taking on the secretarial role though Georgia chose to stop riding altogether but despite this Bec continued to support the club Whilst not always being able to attend meetings Bec continued to volunteer hours and days of her time to assist at club events doing many jobs such as gear checking and office but also as scorer She is one of Event Secretaryrsquos favourite scorers and gets locked into that scoring room for hours on end We thank Bec very much for her support amp hope that Georgia may one-day return to riding and Seville Pony Club

Emma Fewtrell Rush and Emily Tyrrell Jock Fraser Gear Check Jock is the father of Sharon Stanley and grandfather of Jarryd Stanley who is currently a 3rd generation member of our club Jock was Vice President in 1983 President in 1984 and 1985 and DC in 1987 The committee decided to introduce this special award in 2016 to acknowledge the Stanley family and their immaculate presentation over the years Jock is the one who can be found cleaning Jarrydrsquos gear at the back of the float on comp day This award is calculated from points given to riders at presentation of gear check on rally days as per instructor votes Mia Harriss and Emily Hudak Happiest Combo Awarded to a members that no matter what happens out there on their horse they are still enjoying and loving their pony as per committee votes Conor McNally amp Lord Matthew and Charlotte Smith amp Romeo Best 1st Year Rider Awarded to the 1st year member showing enthusiasm and willing to try all activities as per committee votes Audrey Lyons Audrey and her pony Flirt started as a combination at SPC mid last year Audrey always comes to a rally with a positive attitude and is ready to try whatever her instructors ask She has shown marked improvement in all her riding skills at each rally and early this year she started competing Each competition that she has attended has seen her improve and she recently won her section at the KGPC Showjumping Day and then again at the Mentone PC Combined Training Day As well as enjoying her progress at pony club and competitions Audrey and her mum Marie have enjoyed more the special time they spend together doing this

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod The NRG Award This award is presented to the rider who is an active competitor and good club ambassador one who assists and goes beyond what is required Presented by Boyce Deverell who is one of our biggest supporter and sponsors over the past 5 years He is founderowner of NRG Equine Products As per committee votes Madi Buttolph Madi and Henschke (Finn) whist doing year 12 last year continued to attend PC rallies and qualify via a series of events not only for the 2017 PCAV State Dressage Championships but also for the 2017 PCAV State Horse Trials She is the only rider to have represented our club at Two State Championships this year and one of very few in recent years Madi amp Finn and the rest of their team placed a very impressive 2nd in Grade 2 at the Dressage Championships and they finished mid-field in a tough section at State Horse Trials Champs She was also an important member of the 2nd placing team at the State Horse Trials Madi amp her other horse Louie also qualified for the 2017 State Dressage Championships in Grade 1 however they withdrew so she could concentrate on 1 horse Madi amp Finn were also one of only two Grade 2 Combinations from Seville who lead the way at the North Metro Zone Yeringberg Teams Event this year enabling some of your younger club riders to be part of a full team at this event Madi is always a helper at pony club rallies and competitions as are her very supportive and hard working parents Jacqui and Jeremy who willingly turn their hand to any pony club job big or small Madi is particularly admired by some of our youngest riders for her quiet and understated achievements and success Elizabeth Walker Encouragement Award Liz was a member of SPC and tragically died in a car accident shortly after her 18th birthday The philosophy behind Lizrsquos parents (Glenda and Wayne) kindly donating this award is Liz was a rider who when out and about competing won numerous competitions and ribbons for SPC She was lucky enough to have regular lessons and have various horses to ride and was often the envy of other riders The Liz Walker award is to encourage riders who may not always succeed in prizes or ribbons but to boost their confidence to carry on doing what they love with their horses even if their horse is complicated or green As per instructor votes Alex Phelan

Whilst Alex has indeed enjoyed some success and won some ribbons at competitions she is also known for her tenacity and ability to remain positive and happy in pony club lessons and at competitions when her adorable yet cheeky pony Toby One Kenobie (Toby) bucks and rears resulting in her landing on the ground Most recently they were eliminated at a Show-Jumping comp after Toby bucked off mid-round Despite this she gets back on and continues to smile carry on and stay on and loving her pony Alex works hard in lessons and practice sometimes to the great amusement and sometimes fright of those who witness Tobyrsquos famous bucking performances Alex is always good humoured about Tobyrsquos shows despite the many bruises she may have had

Senior Award This award started in 1980 according to the website The recipient of this award has shown a positive attitude towards officials volunteers committee their peers and demonstrated great club spirit when out competing They have shown improvement

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod and development as a rider successful competition performances as well as the motivation and desire to advance up through the grades as per committee votes Maddy Kitto Maddy is a very regular rally attender and has made significant progress through the grades in pony club over the last 12 months She has been a very busy and hard-working competitor on two horses Grade 1lsquos Meanwhile Astroman (Astro) and Grade 2rsquos My Friend Jack (Leo) and via several attempts both horses qualified for the 2017 PCAV State Horse Trials They won some events but also had some set-backs along the way Unfortunately Astro was injured resulting in her scratching him from the State Event but she persevered with Leo whorsquos not known for his water jump prowess to finish the event successfully Maddy is always smiling and radiating positive club spirit even when things donrsquot always go the way she would like to (especially water jumps) She is also encouraging and kind to other riders and mindful of their needs especially at rallies She is obliging polite and courteous to coaches officials volunteers and committee members and helps with any job in between her busy schedule at events Maddy is supported by her hardworking and kind parents Melissa and Pete who also always offer a kind word to others and lend a hand when able Presidentrsquos Award This award was started in 2016 to acknowledge and appreciate outstanding contributions to the Seville Pony Club This year the Presidentrsquos award goes to The Garland and Johnson-Clarke Families for their continued support and outstanding contribution throughout the year I would like to applaud both families for their endless support during all Pony Club activities The Garland and Johnson-Clarke families are always available and on hand during rallies competitions fundraisers and working bees ready to impart their knowledge and experience gained over the years whilst on the committee and continue to do so even though they are no longer on the committee and sometime do not have children riding at events They are true community minded positive people who always contribute with a smile on their face and we are so fortunate and adore having them as part of our club Club Appreciation This award goes to an inspirational leader positive role model as a club member who contributes to club activities of both riding and non-riding (eg set-up working bees) as per committee votes Anna Church Anna is a true leader volunteering herself to lead the seniors in the Xmas Rally planning encouraging other riders and families to assist at club and zone competitions offering to help at rallies and turning up for club and zone working bees Anna always makes time to watch younger club members at competitions and offer encouragement and support She is an ambitious high achieving rider who has numerous titles to her and her horse Viewbank Iconrsquos names including a prestigious 2016 Off The Track win last year against some well-known EA riders and most recently as the PCAV State Horse Trials Grade 1 Champion Anna amp Con have worked very hard and moved through the pony club grades gradually and obviously very successfully Anna has no doubt learnt the value of contribution to club from her Dad David Church who has been a hard-working committee member for several years

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod Ian Noble Club trophy (aka Ugly Mug) ndash is a perpetual award given to the person deemed to be acknowledged for their outstanding contributions towards the club over the past 12 months This award started in 1991 Anna Baker This award goes to an individual who Irsquom sure you all agree has meticulously planned and administered every rally over the past year with the utmost thought and care in a true club spirit This individual has also been responsible for organising our 2 major fundraisers the SPC 2 Day Event and Dressage Weekend Her enthusiasm and perseverance has ensured these events to run smoothly with a very high standard and a maximum profit She doesnrsquot miss a beat quite often on the phone talking to someone is also known to be texting on the same device and flicking off emails to the Northern Metro Zone or the latest Sponsorship opportunity whilst trying to get her supporting tribe to their next lesson in a complete uniform including the location of that disappearing armband We all know how she loves seeing the entire club in uniform She is also responsible for the setting up and administering the Seville Pony Club Public Facebook and Instagram pages Constantly drawing public awareness which has helped the club create a profile amongst the equine community in the Yarra Valley and beyond She is jamming our Facebook feeds with the latest updates of SPC membersrsquo experiences whether itrsquos a success at a competition achieving personal goals capturing those magic moments out and about or the cutest young rider beginning their Pony Club journey She must have more Facebook friends and Instagram followers than all of us combined Please join me in awarding this yearrsquos Ian Noble Club Trophy (aka the Ugly Mug)

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod The NRG Award This award is presented to the rider who is an active competitor and good club ambassador one who assists and goes beyond what is required Presented by Boyce Deverell who is one of our biggest supporter and sponsors over the past 5 years He is founderowner of NRG Equine Products As per committee votes Madi Buttolph Madi and Henschke (Finn) whist doing year 12 last year continued to attend PC rallies and qualify via a series of events not only for the 2017 PCAV State Dressage Championships but also for the 2017 PCAV State Horse Trials She is the only rider to have represented our club at Two State Championships this year and one of very few in recent years Madi amp Finn and the rest of their team placed a very impressive 2nd in Grade 2 at the Dressage Championships and they finished mid-field in a tough section at State Horse Trials Champs She was also an important member of the 2nd placing team at the State Horse Trials Madi amp her other horse Louie also qualified for the 2017 State Dressage Championships in Grade 1 however they withdrew so she could concentrate on 1 horse Madi amp Finn were also one of only two Grade 2 Combinations from Seville who lead the way at the North Metro Zone Yeringberg Teams Event this year enabling some of your younger club riders to be part of a full team at this event Madi is always a helper at pony club rallies and competitions as are her very supportive and hard working parents Jacqui and Jeremy who willingly turn their hand to any pony club job big or small Madi is particularly admired by some of our youngest riders for her quiet and understated achievements and success Elizabeth Walker Encouragement Award Liz was a member of SPC and tragically died in a car accident shortly after her 18th birthday The philosophy behind Lizrsquos parents (Glenda and Wayne) kindly donating this award is Liz was a rider who when out and about competing won numerous competitions and ribbons for SPC She was lucky enough to have regular lessons and have various horses to ride and was often the envy of other riders The Liz Walker award is to encourage riders who may not always succeed in prizes or ribbons but to boost their confidence to carry on doing what they love with their horses even if their horse is complicated or green As per instructor votes Alex Phelan

Whilst Alex has indeed enjoyed some success and won some ribbons at competitions she is also known for her tenacity and ability to remain positive and happy in pony club lessons and at competitions when her adorable yet cheeky pony Toby One Kenobie (Toby) bucks and rears resulting in her landing on the ground Most recently they were eliminated at a Show-Jumping comp after Toby bucked off mid-round Despite this she gets back on and continues to smile carry on and stay on and loving her pony Alex works hard in lessons and practice sometimes to the great amusement and sometimes fright of those who witness Tobyrsquos famous bucking performances Alex is always good humoured about Tobyrsquos shows despite the many bruises she may have had

Senior Award This award started in 1980 according to the website The recipient of this award has shown a positive attitude towards officials volunteers committee their peers and demonstrated great club spirit when out competing They have shown improvement

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod and development as a rider successful competition performances as well as the motivation and desire to advance up through the grades as per committee votes Maddy Kitto Maddy is a very regular rally attender and has made significant progress through the grades in pony club over the last 12 months She has been a very busy and hard-working competitor on two horses Grade 1lsquos Meanwhile Astroman (Astro) and Grade 2rsquos My Friend Jack (Leo) and via several attempts both horses qualified for the 2017 PCAV State Horse Trials They won some events but also had some set-backs along the way Unfortunately Astro was injured resulting in her scratching him from the State Event but she persevered with Leo whorsquos not known for his water jump prowess to finish the event successfully Maddy is always smiling and radiating positive club spirit even when things donrsquot always go the way she would like to (especially water jumps) She is also encouraging and kind to other riders and mindful of their needs especially at rallies She is obliging polite and courteous to coaches officials volunteers and committee members and helps with any job in between her busy schedule at events Maddy is supported by her hardworking and kind parents Melissa and Pete who also always offer a kind word to others and lend a hand when able Presidentrsquos Award This award was started in 2016 to acknowledge and appreciate outstanding contributions to the Seville Pony Club This year the Presidentrsquos award goes to The Garland and Johnson-Clarke Families for their continued support and outstanding contribution throughout the year I would like to applaud both families for their endless support during all Pony Club activities The Garland and Johnson-Clarke families are always available and on hand during rallies competitions fundraisers and working bees ready to impart their knowledge and experience gained over the years whilst on the committee and continue to do so even though they are no longer on the committee and sometime do not have children riding at events They are true community minded positive people who always contribute with a smile on their face and we are so fortunate and adore having them as part of our club Club Appreciation This award goes to an inspirational leader positive role model as a club member who contributes to club activities of both riding and non-riding (eg set-up working bees) as per committee votes Anna Church Anna is a true leader volunteering herself to lead the seniors in the Xmas Rally planning encouraging other riders and families to assist at club and zone competitions offering to help at rallies and turning up for club and zone working bees Anna always makes time to watch younger club members at competitions and offer encouragement and support She is an ambitious high achieving rider who has numerous titles to her and her horse Viewbank Iconrsquos names including a prestigious 2016 Off The Track win last year against some well-known EA riders and most recently as the PCAV State Horse Trials Grade 1 Champion Anna amp Con have worked very hard and moved through the pony club grades gradually and obviously very successfully Anna has no doubt learnt the value of contribution to club from her Dad David Church who has been a hard-working committee member for several years

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod Ian Noble Club trophy (aka Ugly Mug) ndash is a perpetual award given to the person deemed to be acknowledged for their outstanding contributions towards the club over the past 12 months This award started in 1991 Anna Baker This award goes to an individual who Irsquom sure you all agree has meticulously planned and administered every rally over the past year with the utmost thought and care in a true club spirit This individual has also been responsible for organising our 2 major fundraisers the SPC 2 Day Event and Dressage Weekend Her enthusiasm and perseverance has ensured these events to run smoothly with a very high standard and a maximum profit She doesnrsquot miss a beat quite often on the phone talking to someone is also known to be texting on the same device and flicking off emails to the Northern Metro Zone or the latest Sponsorship opportunity whilst trying to get her supporting tribe to their next lesson in a complete uniform including the location of that disappearing armband We all know how she loves seeing the entire club in uniform She is also responsible for the setting up and administering the Seville Pony Club Public Facebook and Instagram pages Constantly drawing public awareness which has helped the club create a profile amongst the equine community in the Yarra Valley and beyond She is jamming our Facebook feeds with the latest updates of SPC membersrsquo experiences whether itrsquos a success at a competition achieving personal goals capturing those magic moments out and about or the cutest young rider beginning their Pony Club journey She must have more Facebook friends and Instagram followers than all of us combined Please join me in awarding this yearrsquos Ian Noble Club Trophy (aka the Ugly Mug)

Farewell and thanks to the following Committee Members

Leaving Position Di Harvey ndash Vice President The Harveys Eliza and Mille as well as Di Newton and Harry have been at Seville Pony Club for many many years Di has been on the General Committee for some years before being Treasurer President and most recently Vice President Di has a wealth of knowledge about all things pony club This year she was the co-convenor of the cross country phase at this yearrsquos Horse Trials We thank Di for everything over the last few years and are grateful that she remains on the General Committee Outgoing Committee Amanda Wilson ndash Rally Planner The Wilson family Amanda Craig Ashleigh and Katie came to Seville a few years ago and immersed themselves into club immediately Amanda has been a member of the general committee in that time and for the last couple of years she has been a very capable and competent member of the DC Team as Rally Planner The Rally Planning role requires creativity and the skills to mesh together a range of activities for riders of all ages and levels into a very small space Amanda also liaised with and sourced many of our amazing instructors and has been a wonderful communicator with the DC and team to ensure that every rally is perfectly planned This year Amanda co-ran the very busy Show Jumping phase of the Seville Horse Trials with Michael Mavor Amanda has done all of these things on top of a new full time job this year We thank you Amanda for all your time and fantastic hard work as Rally Planner and Committee Member You will be sorely missed by the Committee particularly the DC Trish Kroeger ndash General Committee Trish and Kyle started at Seville Pony Club around 8 years ago and she has been a dynamic Committee Member for the last 4 years Most recently Trish has also been a vital member of the DC team as the incredibly hard worker behind the scenes of the D C and other PCAV certificates But ldquoTrishyrdquo is perhaps best known for her unofficial waste management role or rubbish bin obsession The club grounds donrsquot just look neat and tidy naturally Trish or Trashy as she is affectionately known by the Committee is the meticulous overseer of this not so desirable job and she has been known on multiple occasions to count beer cans that she has collected off the grounds and squashed into in our bins courtesy of some uninvited grounds users She is usually the last to leave the grounds after a rally or competition on-account of this rubbish and bin obsession and we are all the more-lucky for this Kyle will agree wersquore sure as he has to wait long after all the other riders have got home to even leave As well though over the years Trish has turned her hand to any role at pony club ably assisting as secretary meeting chair DC Grounds Maintenance Guru Assistant Horse Trials Event Planner or any of the other official roles Trish has always been there to take on any job without batting an eyelid Last year she was the very worthy recipient of the Ian Noble

Farewell and thanks to the following Committee Members contrsquod or Ugly Mug Trophy recognising her willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done for the club She has been an incredible supporter to the committee and the DC Team and has the phone bill to prove it We thank Trishy for all of this and of course Kyle Oli and Flynn who have patiently allowed her to do this Trishy yoursquore a Jack or Trashy of All Trades and wersquoll REALLY miss you Lisa Tyrrell ndash President With three daughters Emily Lucy and Jessica (two of whom are still active members) Lisa is now officially an SPC Veteran having been a club parent for more than 10 years Lisa has fitted so much into her time at Seville and we are all the more-stronger for it She has been on the Committee for most of her time at the club as a general member as well as managing the uniforms as Vice President for some time and most recently for the last two years as our energetic and inspirational President Lisa has been a most positive leader and is known for her ldquocan-dordquo attitude Always putting the club and members first often at the expense of her work food shopping for the family and other daily family things including a shower () she has worked incredibly hard to make Seville Pony Club the successful club that it is today As well as her Vice President and President roles Lisa can do and has done just about every other job on the committee She has performed many a secretarial treasury canteen DC rally planning grounds maintenance web site management working bee amp volunteer co-ordinator event organising role in her time all whilst still fulfilling her official duties She is always an enthusiastic supporter and helper at other club zone and state events Lisa is always one of the first to arrive at a rally (often leaving her girls to get themselves and their gear there) and usually has the shed open and trailer out before anyone else has arrived She spent many months last year climbing into the shed in the dark via a half opened side door negotiating her way over equipment to slide the damaged roller door up from the inside with some near slips doing so She also of course organised for the roller door to be fixed In between rallies apart from the numerous hours she spends on the phone to PCAV or other Committee members she often comes to the grounds to smudge arenas get rid of weeds or ensure the bins are out and emptied (especially when Trish is away) Like Trish she is usually the last to leave a rally and her girls have often been sighted sitting on the side of Quayle Road in the dark waiting patiently for her to collect them Lisa has done all this purely for the benefit of Seville Pony Club and its members In all her roles her purpose has been to ensure the members enjoy being part of the club have fun and are safe We thank you Lisa for your years of contributing to the club and are grateful that you remain as a club parent and an inspirational support to the new Committee

Leaving the Club David Church ndash General Committee David father of one of our most senior riders Anna has been a longstanding member of the SPC Committee having been Vice President for some years and most recently a General member David has contributed in many ways and also frequently volunteered as Doctor and medical support at rallies and events He has been a quietly spoken loyal and diligent meeting attendee and often the only gentleman amongst a crowd of enthusiastic ladies Always a voice of reason and sense David and Anna and the Church family will be fondly remembered for their 10 plus years at Seville Pony Club and we will miss them very much Bec Anderson - Secretary Bec and Georgia have been members of Seville for several years and Bec has been Club Secretary for the last year Georgia is a one-time recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Walker Award Shortly after Bec taking on the secretarial role though Georgia chose to stop riding altogether but despite this Bec continued to support the club Whilst not always being able to attend meetings Bec continued to volunteer hours and days of her time to assist at club events doing many jobs such as gear checking and office but also as scorer She is one of Event Secretaryrsquos favourite scorers and gets locked into that scoring room for hours on end We thank Bec very much for her support amp hope that Georgia may one-day return to riding and Seville Pony Club

Farewell and thanks to the following Committee Members contrsquod or Ugly Mug Trophy recognising her willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done for the club She has been an incredible supporter to the committee and the DC Team and has the phone bill to prove it We thank Trishy for all of this and of course Kyle Oli and Flynn who have patiently allowed her to do this Trishy yoursquore a Jack or Trashy of All Trades and wersquoll REALLY miss you Lisa Tyrrell ndash President With three daughters Emily Lucy and Jessica (two of whom are still active members) Lisa is now officially an SPC Veteran having been a club parent for more than 10 years Lisa has fitted so much into her time at Seville and we are all the more-stronger for it She has been on the Committee for most of her time at the club as a general member as well as managing the uniforms as Vice President for some time and most recently for the last two years as our energetic and inspirational President Lisa has been a most positive leader and is known for her ldquocan-dordquo attitude Always putting the club and members first often at the expense of her work food shopping for the family and other daily family things including a shower () she has worked incredibly hard to make Seville Pony Club the successful club that it is today As well as her Vice President and President roles Lisa can do and has done just about every other job on the committee She has performed many a secretarial treasury canteen DC rally planning grounds maintenance web site management working bee amp volunteer co-ordinator event organising role in her time all whilst still fulfilling her official duties She is always an enthusiastic supporter and helper at other club zone and state events Lisa is always one of the first to arrive at a rally (often leaving her girls to get themselves and their gear there) and usually has the shed open and trailer out before anyone else has arrived She spent many months last year climbing into the shed in the dark via a half opened side door negotiating her way over equipment to slide the damaged roller door up from the inside with some near slips doing so She also of course organised for the roller door to be fixed In between rallies apart from the numerous hours she spends on the phone to PCAV or other Committee members she often comes to the grounds to smudge arenas get rid of weeds or ensure the bins are out and emptied (especially when Trish is away) Like Trish she is usually the last to leave a rally and her girls have often been sighted sitting on the side of Quayle Road in the dark waiting patiently for her to collect them Lisa has done all this purely for the benefit of Seville Pony Club and its members In all her roles her purpose has been to ensure the members enjoy being part of the club have fun and are safe We thank you Lisa for your years of contributing to the club and are grateful that you remain as a club parent and an inspirational support to the new Committee

Leaving the Club David Church ndash General Committee David father of one of our most senior riders Anna has been a longstanding member of the SPC Committee having been Vice President for some years and most recently a General member David has contributed in many ways and also frequently volunteered as Doctor and medical support at rallies and events He has been a quietly spoken loyal and diligent meeting attendee and often the only gentleman amongst a crowd of enthusiastic ladies Always a voice of reason and sense David and Anna and the Church family will be fondly remembered for their 10 plus years at Seville Pony Club and we will miss them very much Bec Anderson - Secretary Bec and Georgia have been members of Seville for several years and Bec has been Club Secretary for the last year Georgia is a one-time recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Walker Award Shortly after Bec taking on the secretarial role though Georgia chose to stop riding altogether but despite this Bec continued to support the club Whilst not always being able to attend meetings Bec continued to volunteer hours and days of her time to assist at club events doing many jobs such as gear checking and office but also as scorer She is one of Event Secretaryrsquos favourite scorers and gets locked into that scoring room for hours on end We thank Bec very much for her support amp hope that Georgia may one-day return to riding and Seville Pony Club

2016-2017 Awards Presentation Night hellipcontrsquod Ian Noble Club trophy (aka Ugly Mug) ndash is a perpetual award given to the person deemed to be acknowledged for their outstanding contributions towards the club over the past 12 months This award started in 1991 Anna Baker This award goes to an individual who Irsquom sure you all agree has meticulously planned and administered every rally over the past year with the utmost thought and care in a true club spirit This individual has also been responsible for organising our 2 major fundraisers the SPC 2 Day Event and Dressage Weekend Her enthusiasm and perseverance has ensured these events to run smoothly with a very high standard and a maximum profit She doesnrsquot miss a beat quite often on the phone talking to someone is also known to be texting on the same device and flicking off emails to the Northern Metro Zone or the latest Sponsorship opportunity whilst trying to get her supporting tribe to their next lesson in a complete uniform including the location of that disappearing armband We all know how she loves seeing the entire club in uniform She is also responsible for the setting up and administering the Seville Pony Club Public Facebook and Instagram pages Constantly drawing public awareness which has helped the club create a profile amongst the equine community in the Yarra Valley and beyond She is jamming our Facebook feeds with the latest updates of SPC membersrsquo experiences whether itrsquos a success at a competition achieving personal goals capturing those magic moments out and about or the cutest young rider beginning their Pony Club journey She must have more Facebook friends and Instagram followers than all of us combined Please join me in awarding this yearrsquos Ian Noble Club Trophy (aka the Ugly Mug)

Leaving Position Di Harvey ndash Vice President The Harveys Eliza and Mille as well as Di Newton and Harry have been at Seville Pony Club for many many years Di has been on the General Committee for some years before being Treasurer President and most recently Vice President Di has a wealth of knowledge about all things pony club This year she was the co-convenor of the cross country phase at this yearrsquos Horse Trials We thank Di for everything over the last few years and are grateful that she remains on the General Committee Outgoing Committee Amanda Wilson ndash Rally Planner The Wilson family Amanda Craig Ashleigh and Katie came to Seville a few years ago and immersed themselves into club immediately Amanda has been a member of the general committee in that time and for the last couple of years she has been a very capable and competent member of the DC Team as Rally Planner The Rally Planning role requires creativity and the skills to mesh together a range of activities for riders of all ages and levels into a very small space Amanda also liaised with and sourced many of our amazing instructors and has been a wonderful communicator with the DC and team to ensure that every rally is perfectly planned This year Amanda co-ran the very busy Show Jumping phase of the Seville Horse Trials with Michael Mavor Amanda has done all of these things on top of a new full time job this year We thank you Amanda for all your time and fantastic hard work as Rally Planner and Committee Member You will be sorely missed by the Committee particularly the DC Trish Kroeger ndash General Committee Trish and Kyle started at Seville Pony Club around 8 years ago and she has been a dynamic Committee Member for the last 4 years Most recently Trish has also been a vital member of the DC team as the incredibly hard worker behind the scenes of the D C and other PCAV certificates But ldquoTrishyrdquo is perhaps best known for her unofficial waste management role or rubbish bin obsession The club grounds donrsquot just look neat and tidy naturally Trish or Trashy as she is affectionately known by the Committee is the meticulous overseer of this not so desirable job and she has been known on multiple occasions to count beer cans that she has collected off the grounds and squashed into in our bins courtesy of some uninvited grounds users She is usually the last to leave the grounds after a rally or competition on-account of this rubbish and bin obsession and we are all the more-lucky for this Kyle will agree wersquore sure as he has to wait long after all the other riders have got home to even leave As well though over the years Trish has turned her hand to any role at pony club ably assisting as secretary meeting chair DC Grounds Maintenance Guru Assistant Horse Trials Event Planner or any of the other official roles Trish has always been there to take on any job without batting an eyelid Last year she was the very worthy recipient of the Ian Noble

Farewell and thanks to the following Committee Members contrsquod or Ugly Mug Trophy recognising her willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done for the club She has been an incredible supporter to the committee and the DC Team and has the phone bill to prove it We thank Trishy for all of this and of course Kyle Oli and Flynn who have patiently allowed her to do this Trishy yoursquore a Jack or Trashy of All Trades and wersquoll REALLY miss you Lisa Tyrrell ndash President With three daughters Emily Lucy and Jessica (two of whom are still active members) Lisa is now officially an SPC Veteran having been a club parent for more than 10 years Lisa has fitted so much into her time at Seville and we are all the more-stronger for it She has been on the Committee for most of her time at the club as a general member as well as managing the uniforms as Vice President for some time and most recently for the last two years as our energetic and inspirational President Lisa has been a most positive leader and is known for her ldquocan-dordquo attitude Always putting the club and members first often at the expense of her work food shopping for the family and other daily family things including a shower () she has worked incredibly hard to make Seville Pony Club the successful club that it is today As well as her Vice President and President roles Lisa can do and has done just about every other job on the committee She has performed many a secretarial treasury canteen DC rally planning grounds maintenance web site management working bee amp volunteer co-ordinator event organising role in her time all whilst still fulfilling her official duties She is always an enthusiastic supporter and helper at other club zone and state events Lisa is always one of the first to arrive at a rally (often leaving her girls to get themselves and their gear there) and usually has the shed open and trailer out before anyone else has arrived She spent many months last year climbing into the shed in the dark via a half opened side door negotiating her way over equipment to slide the damaged roller door up from the inside with some near slips doing so She also of course organised for the roller door to be fixed In between rallies apart from the numerous hours she spends on the phone to PCAV or other Committee members she often comes to the grounds to smudge arenas get rid of weeds or ensure the bins are out and emptied (especially when Trish is away) Like Trish she is usually the last to leave a rally and her girls have often been sighted sitting on the side of Quayle Road in the dark waiting patiently for her to collect them Lisa has done all this purely for the benefit of Seville Pony Club and its members In all her roles her purpose has been to ensure the members enjoy being part of the club have fun and are safe We thank you Lisa for your years of contributing to the club and are grateful that you remain as a club parent and an inspirational support to the new Committee

Leaving the Club David Church ndash General Committee David father of one of our most senior riders Anna has been a longstanding member of the SPC Committee having been Vice President for some years and most recently a General member David has contributed in many ways and also frequently volunteered as Doctor and medical support at rallies and events He has been a quietly spoken loyal and diligent meeting attendee and often the only gentleman amongst a crowd of enthusiastic ladies Always a voice of reason and sense David and Anna and the Church family will be fondly remembered for their 10 plus years at Seville Pony Club and we will miss them very much Bec Anderson - Secretary Bec and Georgia have been members of Seville for several years and Bec has been Club Secretary for the last year Georgia is a one-time recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Walker Award Shortly after Bec taking on the secretarial role though Georgia chose to stop riding altogether but despite this Bec continued to support the club Whilst not always being able to attend meetings Bec continued to volunteer hours and days of her time to assist at club events doing many jobs such as gear checking and office but also as scorer She is one of Event Secretaryrsquos favourite scorers and gets locked into that scoring room for hours on end We thank Bec very much for her support amp hope that Georgia may one-day return to riding and Seville Pony Club

ksladeeventsecretarycomau is notified prior to ride time and a valid veterinary or doctorrsquos medical certificate only is provided within 7 days of notification All refunds will incur a $10 administration fee

3 Entries will be accepted in in the order they are received and numbers for each section will be restricted The Organising Committee reserves the right to close entries to any section prior to the closing date when the section is full

4 Entering this competition constitutes acknowledgement that PCAV rules apply and your acceptance of these rules

5 Rules for Combined Training are the same as PCAV Horse Trials Rules

6 PCAV Code of Conduct applies to all entrants Any conduct unbecoming of a competitor (including offensive language) is a reportable incident and may lead to disqualification

7 The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel any class or competition divide any class alter times and refuse any entry with or without stating a reason

8 PCAV membership cards EA ASHA AERA amp HRCAV or interstate Pony Club cards must be inspected at the secretaryrsquos office before riding PC Riders must have both their 20162017 and old 20152016 cards For insurance reasons there is no negotiation on this issue Open riders who wish to use their HRCAV membership to cover their insurance must ride at or below their assessed level and bring membership and grading card as proof If they wish to ride above their assessed level they may not quoteuse their HRCAV membership and must pay the $10 day attendance instead A $10day attendance fee is payable per day for Open Riders who do not have proof of the aforementioned associations No cardinsurance = No Ride

9 All Open Riders must bring a signed Public Liability Declaration and Day Participant Waiver Form (including PCAV members who are in open sections) Form is available at wwwponyclubvicorgau

10 Gear check required for all riders before each phase

at least 15 minutes prior to each riding time 11 All riders must wear complying helmets EG

ASNZS3838 ASTMF1163 PAS015 Spot checks to ensure compliance may occur Please check the PCAV website for updates

12 Medical armbands must be worn by all competitors when mounted

13 Competitors must be prepared to ride 20 minutes earlier than their scheduled time if required

14 Competitor numbers - the Organising Committee will allocate and advise numbers Competitors must supply their own bridle amp saddle cloth numbers Bridle or saddlecloth numbers must be placed on both sides of the horse

15 PC Grade 5A Combined Training is for riders graded 5A who are 10 years old and younger

16 No stallions colts or rigs 17 PCAV Alcohol amp Smoking Policies apply 18 Queries protests horse abuse as per the PCAV

_One Dressage Cross Country amp Show jumping lesson each day in small groups 75 minute duration x 3

_Extensive amp varied cross country course for all Grades newly built 2016-2017

_Camping allowed overnight Limited horse yards available - $20 overnight book when entering or BYO yards Limited canteen avail for breakfast and lunch on both days There is a shower in the club rooms

_All riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or nominated guardian while at the clinic

_Additional information and schedule for both days will be emailed to all entered riders prior Conditions of Entry Entry is conditional upon acceptance of these conditions 1 Entering this clinic constitutes acknowledgement that PCAV rules apply and acceptance of these rules

2 Before riding - all Open Riders must complete and submit a Liability Declaration form available on the day A $10 Participation Fee is also payable in addition to the entry fee UNLESS proof of current financial membership of PCAV EVEA AHS SHCA AERA HRCAV an interstate Pony Club or can provide proof of Personal Liability Cover of at least $10000000 If you are required to pay the $1000 Day Participation Fee you must also complete and submit a Day Participation Waiver form

3 Before riding - PCAV members must present their grading card to the office

4 Gear Check by Instructor is required prior to each lesson

5 Medical armbands must be worn by all riders for all phases

6 Helmets need to comply with and are to be inspected at gear check (Helmet numbers ASNZS 3838 (AU) ASTMF1163 (USA) or PAS015 (UK)VGI (EUROPE)EN1384 (EUROPE) only up to and incl 2015 (if made in 2016 not acceptable unless also complies with VGI)

7 The organization committee reserves the right to refuse any entry with or without stating the reason

8 No refunds after the closing date except with a vet or medical certificate An admin fee of $10 will be deducted

9 Classes may be mixed grades if numbers allow

10 Horses must be at least age four No stallions colts or rigs

11 Lunging is not permitted

12 Dogs must be kept on leash and away from warm-up and riding rings

13 Neither the organizing committee of this clinic nor the PCAV accepts any responsibility whatsoever for any accident damage illness to horses riders ground spectators or any other person or property
