TARGET AUDIENCE

The Seventh Annual Cardiovascular Emergencies Update will bring together local and national experts in cardiovascular care and resuscitation. With a focus on past, current and future development of systems of care for the management of cardiovascular emergencies, this symposium will provide current information regarding evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes. This course will provide regional physicians, nurses and allied healthcare providers with information regarding the most current treatment modalities, and will highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in achieving efficient and effective systems to care for patients experiencing cardiovascular emergencies.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

1. Describe current evidence-based recommendations for the treatment of cardiovascular emergencies

2. Identify strategies to integrate current guidelines into practice

3. Describe how the integration of individual performance into organized systems of care improves patient outcome

4. Demonstrate awareness of evolving technologies and therapies that improve outcomes in the treatment of cardiovascular disease
