Lindsay Roland - Rose
Lindsay graduated from Emporia State Uni-versity in 2010 with her BFA in Theater. Since then, she's been enjoying life in Kan-sas City and immersing herself in the arts scene. Her favorite roles include Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew, Escalus in Romeo and Juliet, and Billie Dwyer in Unnecessary Farce. Lindsay likes Wes Anderson mov-ies and pizza.
Patti Shockley - Mrs. Graves
Patti has loved working with all the great people at City Theatre over the years. Some of her favorite roles have been Mrs. Shinn in The Music Man, Marguerite in Dearly Departed, Mrs. Potts in Picnic, and Betty in The Foreigner. She recently had the time of her life directing The Miss Firecracker Contest, and, in January, partying with the great cast and crew of The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Now, don’t you just really want to toddle on down to Tuscany?!
Zachary Weaver - Anthony
Zachary remembers playing Georgie Pazinski in King O' the Moon at CTI as his favorite acting ex-perience. He's a winner of the YPI National Play-writing Competition for According to Their Learn-ing and Loganheim The Clock Smasher. He also won The Blank Theatre in Hollywood's YP Competi-tion for The Index. He co-wrote and acted in the film, Intermission, viewable online at www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi240560153/.
He thanks his girlfriend, Lindsay, for creating immeasurable happiness in his life. Zachary likes pakoras and dik-diks.

Wanda Dunlap – Costanza Wanda is an Independence native where, in addi-tion to CTI, she is an active volunteer for the city’s tourism department. She is a middle school teacher in Raytown and her personal mot-to is “Everyday’s an adventure!” While Costanza likes to have guests at San Salvatore, Wanda likes to have guests at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate as well as at CTI and the Enchanted Forest. Cos-tanza loses her patience with arrogant people who think they know everything, and Wanda, well, consider the ages of those middle school-ers! Many thanks to Sariah Pinick at the Music Arts Institute for the valuable help in Italian pro-nunciation! Wanda likes flowers and tea.
Kim Hentges - Lotty
Kim has been active in Kansas City theatre for 18 years. Some of her previous roles and theatrical endeavors include Catherine in Proof and Corie in Barefoot in the Park. Other shows include All My Sons, The 39 Steps, Picnic, and The Glass Menagerie. She would like to thank her gorgeous and talent-ed husband and their two brilliant children for their unconditional love and support, and looks forward to spending time with them again. Kim likes Impromptu Road Trips and Lobster Bisque. But never at the same time.
Jonathan Peery - Frederick
Jonathan is returning to CTI after a long break. Previously, he has been seen on this stage in Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, A Lie of the Mind and Inventing Van Gough. Other roles include Einstein in Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Lonnie Wayne Burke in Coming Attractions. Jonathan likes politics and dirty martinis.

CAST - in alphabetical order
Wendy Buchheit - Lady Caroline
Wendy is pleased to make her debut at City Theatre of Independence as “Lady Caroline” the sarcastic cognac connois-seur. Wendy received her undergradu-ate degree in theatre and voice from the University of Kansas and currently trains under Andy Garrison at the Actor Train-ing Studio. When she is not found lounging about on stage she can be found salsa dancing, brainwashing young minds in the fine arts of acting and literacy, or simply veggin’ out on the couch with her loving husband, David. Wendy likes thing A and thing B.
Randall Campbell - Mellersh
Randall is making his stage debut at CTI. He has previously been seen in Excelsior Springs theatres. Randy likes sports and the “voices” in his head.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES and BIO
When Elizabeth von Arnim published her novel Enchanted April in 1922, she spoke into a very specific time in British history. World War I had just ended four years earlier, and the country was realizing just how large a toll it had taken. The Brits were mourning their countrymen and beginning to discover the new cynical world the Great War had created. The older Victorian gener-ation was giving way to the "Moderns" of the Jazz Age. Similarly, certain women in Britain had just been given the right to vote in 1918. The growth of women's rights would cause many to reexamine their assumptions of women's roles in society and marriage. It is amongst all this change, this emotional change, we find our characters. Two seemingly unremarkable housewives will discover what happens when they attempt take their happiness into their own hands.
It's amazing how one simple vacation can completely change your perspective.
Shari
Shari Wassergord
Previously at CTI, Shari directed Once Upon a Mattress and The Boys Next Door. Since moving to Kansas City five years ago, Shari met her husband, got married, bought a house, and worked at several community theatres. CTI will always be special for being the first theatre in the area to give her a chance. Shari likes science fiction novels and internet cats.
