Republic Day 2019
The trophy for the house with the highest attendance on Republic Day 2019 was won by Kalam House.
Based on the performance of the houses in the various Inter House activities conducted
throughout the year, the coveted trophy for the House with the Best Performance in the
academic session 2018-19 was awarded to Narayanmurthy House.
The 70th Republic Day of the country was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school. A
feeling of patriotism pervaded the entire campus. The guest for the day was Narayana bhaiya- a
very sincere and dedicated worker of the Shishukunj family. After the flag hoisting and the
National Anthem, the Students’ Council administered the pledge to the students. The patriotic
song presented by the school choir further ignited the spirit of patriotism, so did the inspiring
speeches by Ananya Saggi and Aryan Vijayvargiya.

Certificate of Merit for Academic Excellence in Class X
Certificate of Merit was awarded to the following Shishyans for outstanding academic
performance and for being the top Point One percent of successful candidates in Class X
CBSE examination.
Senior Bal Vigyan 2018
Shishyans and educators worked tirelessly for the Senior Bal Vigyan 2018. The school
received prizes in every subject. The theme was Innovative Solutions to Problems of Today

Anugoonj 2018
The senior school annual function ‘Anugoonj’ was a riot of cultural events. More than 600
students participated in various cultural items and displayed their varied talents. The
programme, ably anchored by the students of Class XI, began with the Orchestra and the
Vandana, followed by the choir, the English plays: Sherlock Holmes and The World of Story
Books and the Hindi Plays: Charlie Chaplin and Saste Jahaaz ka Sapna. The folk and western
dances added colour to the programme.

Graduation Ceremony
Graduation Ceremony for the tenth batch of Class XII students (session 2018-19) was presided
over by Hon. Cabinet Minister for Urban and Housing Development Mr. Jayvardhan Singh. Mr.
Anand Kumar of the Super 30 fame and Mr. Vicky Roy, a professional photographer of
International acclaim were the guests of honour. The parents watched with great pride as
students walked up on stage to receive their mementos.

School Events Farewell
Students of Class XI got together to give a touching farewell to the outgoing batch of Class XII. The programme included a humorous skit, songs, dances and a band. The menu was meticulously planned and catered to the taste buds of the students.
As the session 2018-19 came to a close, teachers of the Senior Wing went for a day long picnic to Rewa Resorts near Omkareshwar. It was a wonderful opportunity to unwind, relax and enjoy.
Adventure Camp
Students of Class XII went for an overnight adventure trip to ‘Flame of the Forest’ – 77 kms from Indore. They participated in a host of adventure activities like Rappelling, Rock Climbing, River Crossing, Flying Fox, etc. They also had sessions on outdoor survival skills, understanding the natural environment and team building. It was a wonderful experience as they learnt important life lessons related to team work, leadership and adjusting to new environs.
Students of Class VIII went on an excursion to Ranthambor Wild Life Sanctuary soon after their Final Exams. Besides the sight-seeing and fun, a lot many life skills were also learnt by the students during this trip.

The fight of the numbers took place as
students of Classes VI – VIII took their
positions to battle it out during the Maths
Quiz. The teams racked their brains,
added, subtracted, divided and multiplied,
quickly and correctly to come up with the
correct answers.

Vasudha Gupta XI D and Riddhi Singhania XI E participated in the C.B.S.E National
Science Exhibition. Their Physics project titled
“Sunlightenment” had been selected as the best
in the Regional Science Exhibition held at St.
Mary Champion Higher Secondary School, Indore.
Keshav Agrawal, Class XI, was awarded for
success in the International Math Olympiad organised by Homi Baba Center
for Science Education (HBCSE), MP Vigyan
and P r od yo g ik i S a n s t h a n a n d
Institute of Advanced Studies in Education
(IASE) Jabalpur.
The International Affairs Association of The University Of Pennsylvania organized the
Ivy League Model United Nations Conference at Bengaluru. The following
Shishyans won awards at this conference:

Kanya Nayyar wins medals
Khelo India Games
Kanya Nayyar of Class IX B
participated in the Khelo India Games held at Pune and won
a Silver Medal in 400m Individual Medley and a
Bronze Medal in 200m Individual Medley. She is the first swimmer
from M.P. to win medals in the Khelo India Games.
SGFI National Swimming Championship
Kanya also participated in SGFI National Swimming
Championship held in Delhi and won 3 medals in
the championship: One Gold medal in 400mtr.

Atiksh Sharma of Class VI G, has been nominated
as Best Actor under-18 for his role in the Internationally
Acclaimed Short Fi lm "Folktale" at the Utah Film
Fest iva l and Awards, scheduled to take place at
Utah, USA on 05-06 April
2019.
Parv Golwelkar XII D, Pranavi Agrawal XI A, Om Agrawal XII B and Riddhi Singhania XI
D won the Bronze Award of the IAYP in 2018-19. They completed all the
requirements of the Bronze level (Social
Service, Skill, Adventure and Physical Activity) and were awarded certificates and
medals for the same.
