Procedure Go to the initial screen of Transaction SAINT and choose Extras ® Settings . A dialog box appears in which you can make the following settings: Display contents before decompressing (as of SPAM/SAINT Update Version 11) You can decide whether to display a dialog box with the contents of the compressed file before you decompress it. This is the default setting. Delete file after decompressing (as of SPAM/SAINT Update Version 11) You can decide whether to delete the compressed file after you have decompressed it successfully. This is the default setting. Back up previous upload directory (as of SPAM/SAINT Update Version 11) You can decide whether to save the last used upload directory. This directory then appears automatically as the start directory in the dialog box where you select files. This is the default setting. You can enter your own choice of upload directory in the Upload directory field. This directory then appears as the start directory in the dialog box where you select files. Recreate data file You can decide whether the data files are unpacked from the EPS parcels every time you perform an import. This is the default setting.  Settings for Transaction SAINT 

UseYou can make settings for Transaction SAINT, which influence the behavior of the transaction when youdownload or import installation packages.

ProcedureGo to the initial screen of Transaction SAINT and choose  Extras  ®  Settings . A dialog box appears inwhich you can make the following settings:

Display contents before decompressing(as of SPAM/SAINT Update Version 11)

You can decide whether to display a dialog box with the contents of the compressed file beforeyou decompress it. This is the default setting.

Delete file after decompressing(as of SPAM/SAINT Update Version 11)

You can decide whether to delete the compressed file after you have decompressed itsuccessfully. This is the default setting.

Back up previous upload directory(as of SPAM/SAINT Update Version 11)

You can decide whether to save the last used upload directory. This directory then appearsautomatically as the start directory in the dialog box where you select files. This is the defaultsetting.

Delete data file after import

You can decide whether you want the data files to be deleted after importing the packages. Thissaves disk space and is the default setting.

If you have a multiple­system landscape with a common transport directory, we recommenddeactivating this option because the data files do not have to be created in the other systems.

Perform ABAP/screen generation

You can decide whether the programs and screens delivered with the packages are generatedduring the import. Since this can take a long time, only use this option if you really need to. If youdo not activate this option, the programs and screens are generated the first time they are called.

Note that you can only influence this parameter if SAP allows generation during the import forthese packages.
