Setting up Extender security in GP 10.0

Setting up the new task that will include all Extender resources (windows,

inquiries) and assigning them to security roles.

1. Open Extender window (Microsoft Dynamics GP/Tolls/Extender/Extender).

2. Select Extender resource and from the Actions submenu select Add to

Security Tasks.

3. If the task doesnt exist in the list, select the Add to new task option.

Note: This has to be done for the first resource only. Subsequent resources

can be added to this one or in case finer security granularity is needed new

tasks can be created.

4. Complete information for the new task. Select the roles new task have to be

assigned. This step can also be done later separately.

5. Addition to the task has to be repeated for all Extender resources. Final

result can be checked by opening newly created task in Security Task Setup

window, selecting Extender option from Additional menu, Make sure all the

resources are selected in the list appearing in the Extender Tasks window.
