How to play the Slap Game

• Put all the phrase strips facing up in the centre of groups.

• Say ‘Mike says……let’s smile.

• Pupils need to slap the phrase and say the phrase aloud.

• The first pupil to find it slaps her hand down on top of the phrase strip, then takes it and puts it to the side in.

• The pupil with the most phrase strips wins. Or

• Put all the phrase strips face up in the centre of groups.

• Say ‘Mike says……let’s smile.

• Pupils need to slap the phrase and say the phrase aloud in groups.

• Go around and check their answers.

• The group with the most correct answers win.

Yesterday, Rose came home late. She saw a note from her mother. Mother asked her to give a bone to her dog, Jones. While feeding Jones the bone, a big black mole came out of a hole. It stole the bone. Rose ran after the mole with a pole. The dog ran after the mole too. The mole ran near a rope. There was a stone near the rope. Rose fell over the stone and hurt her nose.
