Sessions defines Corporate Social Responsibility as conducting business in ways that produce social, environmental and economic benefits for the communities in which we operate. Some of the steps in the plan are: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse and Energy. Sessions focus for Winter 12 is reducing plastic. As you all know poly bags are important in shipping and storage to keep the garments protected from the elements. Sessions focus is practical solutions to minimize the use of plastic without challenging the integrity of a grade A product for salability. These solutions - which include reducing poly bag weight as well as research bags made from plants - will provide Sessions with a hopeful reduction in our future usage with plastic.

A Sessions Story

Welcome to our Winter 2012 Sessions collection. Each year we strive to bring you the best product we can and are continuously amazed at the depth of what our product development team brings. This year is an exception though. Our product team are shining examples of what talent, hard work and focus can accomplish even in the most extreme conditions. Sessions has and continues to pursue a high level of product innovation and excellence. There are a wide variety of outerwear and layering options for every level and element. With a library of forecasting services, predictives and athlete input, we are excited to bring you a line with the latest styles that are forward thinking, functional and stay true to our authentic roots.

We want to thank our friends and partners for their continued support of Sessions throughout our many years together but especially the past few seasons.

Have fun and enjoy finding whats right for you in the Sessions 2012 line.

Pico Story

John Kelly and his friends were skiing on a stormy day when they missed a turn and wound up in a valley between Pico and Killington in Vermont. After 8 hours of hiking through the snow, they found a river to follow to the highway. After another hour, they called 911 but Emergency Services couldnt locate them.

As they continued to hike with heavy boots and gear, Johns friend Evan fell into a crevice. After pulling Evan out using ski poles, the friends continued. Walking along a river, one of the men fell, submerging his arm in the freezing cold water, they had no choice but to continue walking to stay warm as their friend began to show signs of hypothermia.

John made a final call to 911 before his battery died. Troopers had been sent out on snowmobiles to find them but John could hear they were going the wrong direction. The troopers turned off their engines and listened for their yells for help. But their yells were too faint and they could not be heard. John began blowing into his whistle zipper puller on his Sessions jacket as loud as he could. The troopers heard! He continued to whistleThey were saved! The men hiked the last 200 yards where the troopers took them back to the highway and paramedics.

John believes that without his warm Sessions gear and without the whistle zipper pull on his Sessions jacket, he and his friends would not have survived. Stories like Johns are the reason Sessions is committed to putting the most innovative and essential safety features in our outerwear.

Lining Fabrics

Lining Fabrics1. Butterfleece: We use the softest fleece for the places that matter most. Brushed on one side with anti-pilling, found in hand-pockets and collars, this is the warmest and coziest fabric for liners.

2. Fleece:Sessions fleece jacquard lining provides warmth and comfort. The jacquard fabric construction, with a micro channel grid pattern, keeps the climate inside your outerwear at a perfect temperature. This fleece is also thin and light, keeping the outerwear lightweight and high performance.

3. Mesh: Sessions mesh lining has ultimate breathability with maximum comfort, keep-ing you dry and comfortable all day long.

4. Satin: Soft and smooth against the skin with high performance wicking, this is a light-weight liner with a great feel. This lining fabric gets attention with its appealing shine and smooth feel.

5. Sherpa/Fur: Extremely warm and insulating, thick, soft, plush Sherpa will keep you warm and happy at the summit or on the lifts between runs. With this inside your jacket, there is less need for layering.

6. Taffeta: This lining fabric used in various garments, is soft to the touch and extremely durable. It is commonly used for storm skirts and leg gaiters throughout the line.

7. Tricot: Light-weight and soft fabric that appears throughout the line and offers warmth and breathability. This fabric is most commonly used at the collar and chin guard.

The degree to which fabric resists direct water pressure or how much

pressure it takes to penetrate the fabric. The longer or more pressure

it takes to penetrate the fabric the more waterproof it is.

When wind penetrates clothing it cools the layer of warm air next to

the skin. Even a few degrees of change in temperature at this layer

makes a big difference. A tight weave, a coating, or a membrane

can make a fabric windproof.

This surface coating repels water and optimizes the fabrics water-

proof and breathable properties. DWR/WR helps make water bead

and roll off instead of being absorbed.

During exercise, the body produces heat and perspiration.

Breathable fabrics keep the wearer dry by letting evaporated

moisture escape so that the natural cooling process can function.

Technology

D3O: D3O contains molecules that flow with you as you move but lock together on impact, absorbing the impacts energy. Under normal conditions D3O is soft and pliable but on impact the material reacts instantly, providing a shock absorption platform. D3O is flexible and lightweight and rivals all conventional protective materials making it a great addition to the Sessions layering program.

Sessions has placed the D3O technology in the mens and womens first layer top and bottom pieces. D3O is placed on direct contact areas to provide shock protection.

Recco: Recco is an avalanche rescue system utilized by over 400 organizationsworldwide to assist in the efficient location of burials. Recco technology enables rapid directional pinpointing of a victims precise location using harmonic radar. The two part system consists of a Recco detector used by organized rescue groups and Recco reflectors that are integrated into 95% of the Sessions outerwear line. Reflectors are located at the nape of the neck in jackets and at the bottom seam in pants to ensure optimum detection no matter which way a victim is buried.

Whistle Zipper Puller:Sessions is equipped with safety in mind. The Sessions whistle puller is there so that youre always equipped if youre ever in need of a mountain distress signal.

Dry Tech Express:Dry Tech Express fabric makes use of a newly developed Yarn-Dry Technology to keep you dry and comfortable under any conditions. While other technical fabrics gain performance from chemical coatings, DTEs performance is achieved naturally through the use of two special yarns that work together to create a cooler, dryer, more breathable comfort zone next to your skin. DTEs natural wicking and moisture management properties WILL NEVER WASH OUT! -Keeps Dry & Cool -Repels moisture quickly -Ensures softness next to skin -Lasts naturally and permanently

Seams to Grow: Seams to Grow is a simple feature that extends the life of our garments by allowing them to grow with your kids. Simply cut and remove the red stitch inside the sleeve or pant cuff to extend each by 1 inches in length.

While other technical fabrics gain performance from chemical coatings, DTEs performance is achieved naturally through the use of two special yarns that work together to create a cooler, dryer, more breathable comfort zone next to your skin.

DTE combines a dry touch yarn, working with a permanent wicking yarn. While the dry-touch yarn repels moisture and keeps a dry soft-touch against your skin, the Moisture is then absorbed by, and passes through the quick-wicking yarn to the outside surface. This continual rapid movement of moisture from your skin to the outside of the fabric ensures you stay naturally dry and comfortable, whatever your endeavor. This wicking is not only NATURAL, but also FASTER than the best chemical treatments on the market*, and unlike chemical treatments, DTEs natural moisture management properties WILL NEVER WASH OUT!
