Session Scanning – Scanner Functions

• The seminar scanner is a common i-Pod touch positioned in a Linea-Pro barcode scanner

• Hold the Power On/Off button to turn off the unit power On or Off

• Hold the Scan button to start the barcode scanner

• Press the Home Screen button if you wish to exit the scanning application for any reason.

Session Scanning – How To Scan• Hold the scanner approximately 5 inches from the

badge, press and hold the SCAN button• Aim the flashing red light at the visitors barcode,

wait for the scan to register• When the scanner has read the barcode, you will

hear a beep and the unit will display if the attendee has signed up for the course or not

• If the delegate has signed up for the course, the reader will read VALID CODE on a GREEN SCREEN.

• If the delegate has NOT signed up for the course, the reader will display UNKOWN CODE on a RED SCREEN

Session Scanning – Important to Remember

• All Scans are automatically saved and recorded in the unit.

• If delegate is Denied Access, have a look in the room for capacity, if there is sufficient room, you can let the delegate in.

• Please pickup units 30 minutes prior to course start at the scanning counter on the 600 level.

• If delegates have entered the room before you have arrived, be sure to walk around the room and scan everyone in.
