Through photography, I have a new outlook on the world around us and just how beautiful our environment truly is. This has inspired me to capture the moments that many overlook or take for granted through our busy lives. Once we sit back and take in what has been given to us, we can’t help but to appreciate the finer things in life. We must find the inner joy of what our eyes can see and what our heart can feel.

This is what pushes me every day to become a better photographer and show the world what they are missing and to be able to see and capture the details. The difficulty in showing something that can only be dreamt but begs to be shown is what I believe a true photographer should live to create. There are few people that hold these talents and I have made this my goal to find in myself to become one.

We are a small town business located in Bloomfield, Nebraska. I was brought up with strong work ethics and workmanship. Following ten years active duty in the US Navy submarine community, I attended the University of Guam where I graduated with a degree in Computer Science along with a minor in Arts with a focus in photography.

After relocating back to my hometown, I launched my photography business. Upon joining the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and Professional Photographers of Nebraska (PPofN), I have devoted time and resources to continue growing through these recognized organizations.

I pride myself in capturing and uniquely stylizing precious images during your session. Truly, these moments fly by so quickly and your memory of them should be captured professionally.

From time to time, I see posts on Facebook and forums from families asking “Can anyone recommend a cheap photographer?”, “Why do they charge so much?” or “I can get 100 images on a disc for way less than that.” Like any quality products or services out there, good photography is expensive because it is not easy to create. Bad photography is even more expensive. If you do not like your photos, you have wasted your time, money and memories and if there is a second chance, some fami-lies will end up investing more money for a better photographer due to dissatisfaction from their first experience.

When you commission a professional photographer, you are paying for their expertise, the utmost importance they hold with regards to the safety of your family and newborn baby during sessions, their talent, time and also the fact that they will capture your images perfectly, the first time.

I have and will continue to invest to attend workshops with award winning photographers that specialize in the art of photography. I make a commitment to every client that I will produce the best possible photographs for them that I can and am always striving for perfection in my art. Perfection and quality is worth more to me than quantity. Safety and client confidence in me is just as important.

What also differentiates an amateur photographer from a professional is consistency. Ensure that the work you view is consistently great. You do get what you pay for. Do you really want 50-100 images with only 2-3 decent ones in the set or 10-25 brilliant images worth of printing for your walls? What will you do with a disc of 50-100 images? Each image you see in my galleries has taken me time to create, photograph and professionally edit.

Besides the time working at the session, there is an additional minimum of 6+ hours of behind-the-scenes work that the client does not see and here is a gen-eral breakdown of my time per session :

2-3 hours Setting up the studio, finding a location, travel time, preparing props, planning workflow and shots

30-180 minutesSession time

2-16 hoursUpload images from the session. Select and edit photos (color correction, toning and retouching). If your gallery includes technically difficult shots, then extra Photoshop steps are needed.

1-3 hoursSet up the online gallery. Process retouching requests and email back and forth to clients with selections.

1-2 hoursCollecting and checking quality of prints, packaging and posting.

Time spent for me to provide a photography package can range from 6 – 20 + hours. Because professional photography is time and labor intensive, the sooner you can schedule the better. While I do accept short notice shoots, the extra time is preferred.

FAMILY AND SENIORSESSIONS

Session Fees

Session fees include the actually photography session and shooting. This is a non-refundable fee which is re-quired in advance to your session day.

Platinum Session - $200The Platinum Session includes both in studio and/or a location shoots (within 30 miles). Please plan to be on location for up to 3 hours. There are no limits as to how many family members, the more the merrier! Bring your whole wardrobe as there are no restrictions on outfit changes.

Gold Session - $150The Gold Session includes both in studio and/or a location shoots (within 30 miles). Please plan to be on location for up to 2 hours. Again, there are no limits as to how many family members, so bring the family.

Silver Session - $125The Silver Session includes either an in studio or a location shoots (within 30 miles). Please plan to be on location for up to 1 hour. Silver Sessions are limited to booked family and parents. Multiple outfit changes are permitted.

Bronze Session - $75The Bronze Session is a studio session only. Please plan around a 30 minute session. A Bronze Session is limited spouse and children. This package allows for a single outfit change

Note: All senior photo sessions include a emailed and printed wallet submission to your high school and yearbook.

In order to better serve you as a client, we have moved away from “package” pricing model and implemented an open platform. The client has guidelines as to your options. You can now purchase any type of wall art and prints the fits your specific need. Maybe you just want a sitting and just a few prints and a beautiful framed piece. You choose, the photos, sizes and the medium. We will discuss the options during your viewing and ordering session. This is your family and we want you to cherish your session forever.

A LA CARTE KEEPSAKES

I can provide professionally printed products and can recommend products to suit your needs that are of the highest quality and with the longest guarantees and organize them for you to be delivered to your door. Print-ing products through budget companies will mean that your prints will not match that of a professional printing lab and likely will not last for long. I regularly calibrate my monitor with professional labs to ensure my printing with them is to professional standards. Your prints will not represent my work unless professional printing is arranged. Inks and papers sometimes only last for a few years due to the chemicals found in cheaper inks and materials at budget printing places.

What To Expect:

When to book a session? It is never too early to book your photo session so please book while for your occasion to guarantee a session. Because I also offer several types of photography sessions, I have bookings sometimes up to 1 year in advance. If you have your date and you like my style of photography, book it in as early as possible.

Time to complete the work: My current time is around a week from the session date to finish editing and provide an online gallery for you to view. Once the secure gallery is online via this website, you may choose your images for your package. I may release files at my discretion earlier if the balance of the work is complete and so long as it is understood that those files are part of the final selection.

PaymentsPayment is due by the day of the photography session unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the session. On the day of the shoot, you will be required to pay your sitting fee and additionally, if it is a family or senior shoot, $150 that will go towards your keepsake order. Once your shoot has been completed and your photos have been prepared, you will be invited in for a viewing sesssion where your final order will be placed. Please be ready to make a payment for you prints and wall art at that time.

Payment in installmentsI am happy to accept smaller payments in the lead up to your photographic work being finalized. I will not release work until payment is completed.

Can I purchase all of the images taken? I do not sell or provide RAW files or unedited images as part of my services. One of the reason clients love my work is due to my photographic skill, artistic vision, use of textures and editing style. I spend between 5-6 hours editing each session which includes meticulous attention to detail so as not to over edit (correcting skin tones/colors and enhancing lighting). During this time I also convert RAW digital files to high resolution, printable formats and decipher the image file size and document size. Editing enhances and finalizes each photograph as a piece of art. No images displayed on either my website or Facebook page are unedited.

Where we printAll of my printed products are printed on the highest quality of professional paper at a professional printing lab. We trust print labs located in Nebraska and Iowa to privde quality products that meet or exceed our ex-pectactions consistantly. Our canvases are put together by hand to ensure the highest quality. The computer and software I edit with is calibrated to print exactly as it should at this lab.

What about digitals?We will provide digital images for use on social media and sharing with family. While images are provided, they are not intended to be printed at a lab.

Initial ContactA contact may be made through a variety of mediums such as a phone contact, email, messenger or face to face. This is to familiarize the client with this information guide, we will go through attire, answer any of your questions, schedule a date and time if you have one, choose a location and fill out some questionnaires.

A Package For YouNot everyone has the exact same requirements. Some families will want just a few prints and other want loads of prints and wall art such as canvas prints. We have a basic plans that include everything. We can discuss your display options to help meet your needs.

Schedule Date and LocationConsidering you decide to move forward with a session, we can nail down a date. Scheduling early is better than waiting until a few days before as some times of year get rather busy. Ideally, We prefer to shoot within the hour before sunset (golden hour) or shoot near sunrise (blue hour) as the best light is during these times of the day, weather dependent of course. If you have a location, great. If you do not have a site in mind, we can find a site that suits you. The location could be urban, countryside, barns or even your backyard. We would like to survey a location of your choice prior to shooting to ensure that there are options.

Shoot with a purposeOur intentions are to capture you and your family with the intent of filling a specific wall in your home. If we have an idea of where your prints are to be displayed, we can adapt your session with those requirements in mind. Our goal is to provide images that fit a space. For example, if you have a rustic home, we do not want to photograph you in the city. Color, mood and background all go into providing a cohesive atmosphere for your new wall art.

WorkflowFrom start to finish, we have structure in place to ensure your experience is flawless. The best part is that you have almost completed the hardest part, meeting your photographer! I will be available for all your questions and concerns throughout the process and beyond. During this meeting, you will choose a date for viewing and ordering. Following today’s meeting, we will contact you prior to your shoot to make sure that weather is going to cooperate and that everything is a go for both you and your family and myself.

The next time we meet will be on the day of your session. We will plan to meet about 15 minutes prior to your session time at the location of your session. From there, we will conduct your photo shoot and you be anxious-ly awaiting to see your wonderful images.

My process of selecting potential images and minor editing will be completed within a week. This usually is done by the next day following the shoot, depending on workload. Our following meeting will be on the day you have chosen for viewing and ordering. You and your family will be able to view your images and discuss alterations that are needed. At that time, we can also discuss the available options regarding the presentation of your images in your home or office. At that time, you will be placing your order so please be prepared. Once you select your images, we will also provide digital images for usage on social media which can be shared with friends and family.

Once your order has been placed, it will be sent off to our print labs. We will usually receive your final products within a week or so at which time we will contact you to come in for pickup. Keep in mind that our relationship does not end once you receive your product. You are welcome to return at any time to place additional orders.
