SUMMER HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

Dear Parents,

Summer vacations are the synonyms of fun, frolic,

playing for longer hours with friends, going for picnic,

exploring new places etc. There is no doubt that

vacations are the most appropriate time for the

students to refresh and rejuvenate themselves to

showcase their performance more enthusiastically.

Children have ample energy which needs to be

channelized in the right direction to get the best out of

them. Keeping this in mind the holiday homework has

been designed to make them more

observant and

condent.

Guidelines for Parents:

·

Holiday homework should be done under parental guidance and not by the

parents.

·

The child should have a xed time daily for doing assignments.

·

Before coloring, guide him / her to color in the same direction.

·

‘Reading book is fun’. Inculcate the habit of reading in your child.

·

Nurture your child’s interest –

be it art, music, dance or anything else.

·

Let him/her pursue a hobby of his/her own choice.

·

Please train your child to become independent in his daily chores.

·

To develop speaking skills in your child, help him/her learn

a story from his/her

favorite story book. The child should be able to narrate the story in class when

he/she comes back to school.

·

Encourage your child to converse in English.

·

Monitor your ward’s T.V viewing and select the programmes to be seen

depending on the age and development of the child.

·

Encourage your ward to read and write his/her full name and date on worksheet.

Good manners and good habits are lifelong assets

and they should be practiced

until they become habit. Revise the four magical words:

PLEASE, SORRY, THANK

YOU and EXCUSE ME which we have learned as the part of basics of good

manners. Make these four magical words a habit and see the difference.

Healthy and Hygiene-

· Enjoy your food and Breakfast is a very important meal

· Eat fruits and vegetables with each meal and as tasty snacks!

· Too much fat is not good for your health

· Quench your thirst. Drink plenty of liquids

· Brush your teeth at least twice a day

· Get moving! Be active every day

· Keep your surroundings and environment clean

· Trim your nails often.

· Do not waste water and electricity

HOW INDEPENDENT CAN I BECOME?

· Make your child more independent by

teaching him or her various activities like

· Buttoning and unbuttoning the shirt..

· Folding mats and clothes.

· Arranging their toy shelf.

· Learning to wear shoes and socks.

· Learning how to zip their school bag and

their uniform.(shorts)

· Sorting and pairing household items

FUN WITH READING AND STORY NARRATION

Books are the chief medium of imparting knowledge

and

education to the kids. The

books are the window

to their

perfect understanding of different topics.

To enhance their knowledge and reading skills make

your child

learn story My School Bus. To make your

story more

interesting

you can make your own puppets with old

bottles, cartoons,

ribbons, buttons etc…Best narrator will be rewarded.
