Spend the Spring 2015 semester studying global environmental and natural resource issues in beautiful Florence, Italy! Home of the Renaissance and banking, Chianti, cheese and olives, this amazing city provides a fantastic base from which to explore Italy, Europe, and the world.
The program provides WSU students from all majors the opportunity to have a resume-building international experience, and earn credit -- with no transfer hassles! Classes are taught in English: however, participants will berequired to take an Italian language course.
Attending this program will put participants at most only three courses away from completing an ECONOMICS MINOR!
This program requires 13 credits.
*PARTICIPATION EXPENSE includes excursions, accomodation, a Florence MuseumPass, 3 group dinners, on-site orientation, 50 Euro per month for utilities and wireless internet, and program related in-country travel. Note: A minimum number of participants is needed for this program.

VISA* - Not Required for U.S. if staying under 90 days**
*Other nationalities must check requirements with perspective consulates or embassies.*Participants are responsible for applying for their own Visa.**Visa is not required for U.S. citizens if staying under 90 days(program is 89 days).

Participants eligible for �nancial aid can use aid toward this program. Please note that per federal regulations, �nancial aid is released on the �rst day of the regular WSU semester, or ten days prior to the participant’s program start date, whichever is LATER. Participants must budget accordingly.To receive Financial Aid:1) Indicate an intent to use �nancial aid on the Financial Aid & Scholarships questionnaire in the Global Learning online application.2) Have a completed FAFSA for the appropriate academic year abroad.3) Global Learning Department will submit the participant’s program related costs to Student Financial Services.For more information, please contact Global Learningor Student Financial Services.
All participants are required to purchase International Insurance through the Global Learning Department. Please talk to a Global Learning Advisor for more information.
Eligibility
Participants are responsible for the Fixed Expenses of the program once they have committed to the program application and the application deadline has passed.
All faculty-led participants are required to attend the following orientations prior to departure:o Global Learning PRE-DEPARTURE ORIENTATION online session.o FACULTY-DIRECTED ORIENTATIONS take place over multiple sessions and will be planned by the program faculty director.o SCEA ORIENTATION (Social Competency in Education Abroad) consists of two sessions and one online assessment. To learn more visit: http://adcaps.wsu.edu/educationabroad/.o FACULTY-LED AND FINANCIAL PLANNING online training is a required application component that provides additional details on the application process, costs of the program, billing, �nancial aid, other relevant information. This training is accessible once an application is started.*All orientations are mandatory.
