Kiia and Lauri are speeding down a dark country road, anxious to reach the hospital because Kiia has gone into premature labour. Their car hits something. Lauri goes to take a look, and tells his wife he saw nothing. They rush to the hospital, and Kiia gives birth to a healthy baby boy. While in the hospital, Kiia meets Hanna, a woman whose husband is in a coma, the victim of a hit-and-run driver. Kiia befriends Hanna and tries to help her desperately without revealing her role in the accident.

Aimo and Milla are living together at Milla’s alcoholics-turned-zombiesparents’place. They save money to move out of the house. Due to his lack of self confidence, Aimo wastes their savings to turbo-boost his muscles. As conventional body building is not quite satisfactory, Aimo tunes himself up into a robot. Milla doesn’t like the new Aimo-Robot and leaves him. Aimo´s heartache leads him to extreme measures as he also changes his heart into a metal one, one that doesn’t hurt. Milla decides to steal Aimo’s heart: after all, a man need to have a man´s heart. Lovemilla is an anarchistic comedy trip, a comedy about love, a story about love, robots and bodybuilding.

MIKKO TENHUNENA graduate from the Helsinki Film School, Mikko Tenhunen started as a screenwriter for TV before producing the comedy FC VENUS - later given a German remake - and the box-office hits The Novelist, BACKWOOD PHILOSOPHER and BODY OF WATER. In 2014, Mikko joined Mjölk Movies and has since produced Mikko Kuparinen’s English-language debut 2 NIGHTS TILL MORNING and Aleksi Salmenperä’s comedy DISTRACTIONS. He is now developing Paavo Westerberg’s adaptation of Chekhov’s UNCLE VANYA from Sonja’s point of view with Finland’s Shooting Star Emmi Parviainen.

THE MIDWIFE KÄTILÖ

Finland, 1944. The country is shaken by the Lapland War, a conflict between Germany and Finland in the aftermath of WWII. Helena, a small community’s midwife nicknamed “Wildeye”, meets the Finnish-German Nazi officer Johannes Angelhurst. She is attracted to the mysterious stranger and follows him to the prisoner of war camp where he serves to start working as a nurse. For Angelhurst, Helena is different from any other woman, and they develop a wild and passionate relationship. Yet their burning love neither removes the traumatic war images that haunt the officer nor the gruesome secrets hiding behind the walls of the camp.

When the turmoil of war separates the lovers, they make a pact to reunite at the remote cabin where they spent their happiest times together. At the end of the war, Helena and Johannes put their lives at risk and suffer tremendous hardship to fight their way back to each other, guided by a will to survive so strong that it bypasses the expectations of morality.
