Adult classes will resume February 2. 10:40 AM, Sanctuary, 4 PM, Chapel: Special Congregational Meeting—First Reformed Church, Vision2020, and our Denominational Identity. All communicant members are encouraged to attend one of two identical sessions updating the RCA's Vision2020 process and reflecting on our church's place in the Kingdom moving forward. These meetings will not be videotaped, and your feedback will be solicited at the conclusion of the gathering. Please be reseated at the front of the Sanctuary for the 10:40 AM presentation.

OPPORTUNITIES & EVENTS

Bags of Starbursts Needed: The Children’s Ministry needs donations of many bags of Starbursts. Please bring your bag to the blue tub in the Fellowship Hall or to the Children’s Ministry area.

Men's Bible Study: Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 5—April 1, men of all ages are invited to join Pastor Mark in studying God's Word and talking about important topics pertinent to men and our daily walks with Jesus. We will meet in Pastor Mark's office at 6:30 PM and conclude at 7:30 PM. Please contact Pastor Mark if you are interested, [email protected].

Getting into the Word in 2020. At the Welcome Center you will find the February 2020 Bible Reading Guide – Harmony of the Gospels. Immerse your reading in the life of Jesus. The passages are presented in a systematic and chronological order. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart, life and faith to hear the voice of God in His word. Throughout the year devotionals from Words of Hope, Our Daily Bread and Samaritan’s Purse Prayer Point will be made available. These are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Financial Help for Brooke (Hiemstra) Kleven family: if you would like to help out financially you may do so by going to our web- site giving page and choosing the Kleven/Hiemstra fund. Or you may mail/drop off donations to the church office made payable to FRC with Kleven/Hiemstra written in the memo line.

January is Challenge Month: The Connections Team weekly challenge is to not complain about anything or say anything negative this week. If you catch yourself complaining or being negative, change your mindset and say something positive instead. Good luck!
