INTRODUCTION In a nutshell the Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles,
home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors,
actuators, and connectivity which enables these things to connect and exchange data,
creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into
computer-based systems, resulting in efficiency improvements, economic benefits, and
reduced human exertions.
The number of IoT devices increased 31% year-over-year to 8.4 billion in 2017 and it is
estimated that there will be 30 billion devices by 2020. The global market value of IoT is
projected to reach $7.1 trillion by 2020.
IoT involves extending internet connectivity beyond standard devices, such as desktops,
laptops, smartphones and tablets, to any range of traditionally dumb or
non-internet-enabled physical devices and everyday objects. Embedded with technology,
these devices can communicate and interact over the internet, and they can be remotely
monitored and controlled.

Integrating IOT with machine learning gives us greatest power of all time. It enables
complex data analysis, making prediction based on data. In a nutshell machine learning
studies the construction of algorithms and learns from them to make predictions on data
by building models from sample inputs. If we further break it down, machine learning
borrows heavily from computational statistics (prediction modeling using computers) and
mathematical optimization, which provides methods, theory and application data to those
models. In essence, it creates its own data models based on algorithms and then uses
them to predict defined patterns within a range of data sets.
IOT and machine learning can be seen in day to day life. Remote controlled TV, Mobile
phone, Laptop, Internet dongle and more are basically leveraging the power of internet of
things, but at very small scale. Amazon suggestions, Google searches, Youtube
suggestions, Facebook friend suggestions etc are all using machine learning algorithms.
Now Industry 4.0 is using power of IOT and Machine learning at very large scale. Where all
the machines, computers, devices and even factories are connected to each other.
Application of such technology, helps enterprises to become intelligent enterprise. It helps
them in making important business decisions, controlling machine remotely, solving
complex problems, performing complex tasks which are out of capability of humans.

“ “Everything that can be automated will be automated”
-Robert Cannon, Internet Law and Policy Expert
” Industry 4.0 : The first industrial revolution saw
Britain move from farming to factory
production in the 19th Century. The
second spanned the period from the
1850s to World War I and began with
the introduction of steel, culminating
in the early electrification of factories
and the first spouts of mass
production. Finally, the third industrial
revolution refers to the change from
analogue, mechanical, and electronic
technology to digital technology that
took place from the late 1950s to the
late 1970s.
The fourth Industrial Revolution i.e. Industry 4.0, in which computers and automation will
come together in an entirely new way, with robotics connected remotely to computer
systems equipped with machine learning algorithms that can learn and control the
robotics with very little input from human operators. Industry 4.0 introduces what has
been called the “smart factory,” in which cyber-physical systems monitor the physical
processes of the factory and make decentralized decisions. The physical systems become
6
Internet of Things, communicating and cooperating both with each other and with humans
in real time via the wireless web.
Smart factories, which will be at the heart of Industry 4.0, will take on board information
and communication technology for an evolution in the supply chain and production line
that brings a much higher level of both automation and digitisation. It means machines
using self-optimisation, self-configuration and even artificial intelligence to complete
complex tasks in order to deliver vastly superior cost efficiencies and better quality goods
or services.
Th benefits of an Industry 4.0 model could outweigh the concerns for many production
facilities. In very dangerous working environments, the health and safety of human
workers could be improved dramatically. Supply chains could be more readily controlled
when there is data at every level of the manufacturing and delivery process. Computer
control could produce much more reliable and consistent productivity and output. And
the results for many businesses could be increased revenues, market share, and profits.
Reports have even suggested that emerging markets like India could benefit
tremendously from Industry 4.0 practices, and the city of Cincinnati, Ohio has declared
itself an “Industry 4.0 demonstration city” to encourage investment and innovation in the
manufacturing sector there.

OUR SERVICES : Manufacturing Industry :
● Intelligent Manufacturing : Automating business processes helps companies to
achieve higher productivity and better efficiency in production and testing units.
Automatic processes removes manual efforts. And so It makes companies to work
in conditions which are not suitable for humans. Repetitive tasks and Workforce
which requires extra cost like healthcare, wages, paid leaves, holidays etc. can be
replaced with more accurate and not complaining machines. Usage of sensors and
machines eliminate errors in production. Errors in manual data entry, quality
assurance and calculations are in routines of companies. Smart connected
automation system eliminates the risk of these errors. Which may cause a huge loss
to companies.
● Predictive Maintenance : To make business processes smoother, faster and
fault free, companies look for an intelligent solution to collect data from different
nodes and use this data to detect faults, predict faults, do predictive maintenance
and so make important business decisions. Collection of data and network of
everything helps manufacturer in forecasting demand, required supply and
down-time. This help them in predictive maintenance and preventive maintenance.
8
● Production Flow Monitoring : IoT in manufacturing can enable the monitoring
of production lines starting from the refining process down to the packaging of
final products. This complete monitoring of the process in (near) real-time provides
scope to recommend adjustments in operations for better management of
operational cost. Moreover, the close monitoring highlights lags in production thus
eliminating wastes and unnecessary work in progress inventory. ● Supply Chain Management : The Industrial IoT (IIoT) can provide access to
real-time supply chain information by tracking materials, equipment, and products
as they move through the supply chain. Effective reporting enables manufacturers
to collect and feed delivery information into ERP, PLM and other systems. By
connecting plants to suppliers, all the parties concerned with the supply chain can
trace interdependencies, material flow and manufacturing cycle times. This data
will help manufacturers predict issues, reduces inventory and potentially reduces
capital requirements.
● IOT in ERP : IoT enables the ERP system of the future to connect people,
processes, data and things in an intelligent way to enable new business models and
make better decisions. It will be more event-driven and intelligent. It will process
more data. Connected assets, Inventory, machines, people, and things generate
more data in real time, and Our intelligent algorithms process them to output more
results and so better ERP system.
9
Logistics :
● Flow monitoring - RFID / barcode / QR code enables logistics companies to
monitor flow inside warehouse. This helps them to track units and manage capacity and processes. Data gathered from different nodes can help businesses to optimize their processes and increase productivity of employees.
● Warehouse management - Capacity estimation and sensing with IOT for
logistics solutions help in the staffers in getting the stacking and loading operations done quickly without any error. Operating inside the inventory in a warehouse can be cumbersome with frequent to and fro trips between the stacking shelf and containers. Same needs to be numbered and attached with the cargo id such that no misplace happens. With the help of the barcode sensors, RFIDs are able to get the empty space within the containers. This also helps in counting the units and maintains an accurate account of the inventory units. On a daily basis, the pickers have to walk around on the floor during the shifts for pickup and counting activities. With the IOT based capacity estimation and sensing solutions, the daily physical labor of the staffers is reduced and improves the efficiency with faster operations. The redundant operations of manual checking and counting can also be removed from the process and the saved work hours and labor can be utilized in more productive ways.
● Fleet Management - Fleet management in logistic business is complex. IOT
enables them to get data from fleet in real time. This makes fleet management easy and unsophisticated.

Retail :
1. Shopper Mapping : Strategically placed sensors provide valuable insights to shopper mapping and high traffic points within a store. Knowing where and how a customer finds a product is valuable to sales departments, managers, and marketers. With the insights of heat maps and customer trace, retailers can better position items for sale, adjust store setup to eliminate empty space, and record shopping trends over time.
2. Inventory Management : RFID tagging of products in inventory keeps managers
up to date about inventory. This helps managers in planning inventory level and schedules. Implementation of IOT in inventory makes inventory management accurate plus seamless. This makes product tracking easy from inventory to shopper.
3. Smart Shelves and Smart Carts : A smart shelf is a shelf equipped with an RFID
(Radio Frequency Identification) reader, either built in the shelf itself or installed behind, under, or above normal shelves. This reader scans the tagged items on the shelf and consistently notifies the back-end system about the existing items. By tracking items and their nutritional information, their movements, and whereabouts, the system provides retailers with information that can be analyzed and translated into customer preferences.
Smart Carts are carts with RFID readers, which consistently scans RFID tags on products. When a customer puts a product in cart, reader scan the tag and it our backend system automatically adds the product in shopping list. This enhances shopping experience and faster check outs
