EngineeringThe engineering section is headedby Technical Director, Steve RogersCEng, CGeol, MICE, MIHT, FGS.

Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and skillsgained in the geotechnical industry he is ableto provide you with an expert and in depthengineering service and fully interpretiveanalysis of your results if required.

With over thirty years of geotechnicalexperience, including seven years as asenior University Lecturer in Soil Mechanicsand Highway Engineering and more recentlyas Chief Geotechnical Engineer for a majorpiling contractor, Steve heads a specialisedengineering department which ensuresthe excellence of our services.

The geotechnical and materials laboratoryis an integral part of RGS, with thecapacity to undertake a continuallydeveloping range of testing.

Geotechnical testing is undertaken inaccordance with BS 1377 1990 METHODS OF

TESTS FOR SOILS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING PURPOSES.

The laboratory is able to provide contaminationtesting of samples, which is undertakenby a sub-contracted external laboratory.
