Summary of
experience in
mentoring
and coaching:
•As Director if IT Development department at the Montreal Exchange, coaching activities of young project managers were undertaken to initiate them to their new role
•As a consultant, coaching activities of a less
experienced project manager within a broader mandate
were undertaken to improve certain aspects of his project
management skill set
•As a volunteer for the Montreal Project Management Institute (PMI) chapter mentoring program, a set of mentoring activities of a young consulting professional were completed

WHY CONSIDER OUR SERVICES? (5)
An old adage says: “You can’t teach experience, it can only be acquired”
Well now, that adage no longer holds, since we can offer your
organisation’s project managers the benefit of experience
acquired “on the job” since 1993. This allows your project
managers to integrate the imparted information much earlier in their professional
career
10
WHY CONSIDER OUR SERVICES? (6)
The information imparted to the project managers can then be immediately used in their daily activities. This allows for rapid improvement of their productivity and
an enhanced solution delivery capability within the time frame, budget and quality.
Advice is practical in nature, simple and based on actually experienced situations
Subject material can include the following project management pillars:
“Technical aspects”, such as requirements definition, planning, etc. as identified in the PMI Book of
Knowledge PMBOK)
Non-technical or “soft” aspects such as communication, conflict management, team
motivation, etc.
