Miss Nieves, is there a special service dog breed?

No. However, many factors effect a dog’s ability to become a service

animal. The most common breeds for service animals are: Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever because of

their temperament.

About that… You need to qualify for a

service animal.

If you qualify you can simply see a coordinator or choose a dog -

miniature horse to go through training!

Recipients must have an identified disability (physical, mental,

neurological, medically fragile) that substantially limits one or more major bodily functions or major life activities.
