FAITH PROMISE AT WORK:
DAN & CHRISTINE*
England
Dan & Christine, currently living in the U.K., work in the
International Office of their organization. Their role is
to manage and equip 1200 workers who reside in dif-
ferent regions of the world. As the Field Director, with
particular responsibility of workers in Africa, Dan mon-
itors reports and encourages the pioneering focus of
teams and their overseers. He is spearheading new
training that helps workers share the Gospel more
effectively and plan for movements of Muslims coming
to faith in Christ. Furthermore, Dan is also now the Associate International Director for
Field and Innovation and has regular meeting with the current Director and the team.
Christine continues to lead the Field women’s ministry team and has been involved in
creating mentoring relationships for new women on the field. She is also coordinating
Child Protection training in their organization. Christine also organizes an event called
“Healing on the Streets”. During these events, Christine and others will set up a booth
on a busy intersection or part of town and simply just ask people if they need prayer
for healing. On one occasion a lady came for prayer about her back that was very pain-
ful and causing her to walk crookedly. She was prayed for and left afterwards, but then
returned 5 minutes later saying her back was fine and she was walking normally! How
good of God to do that for her!
Another recent encouragement for Dan and Christine has been helping the formation
of new field leadership teams for various regions around the world. Younger, eager,
creative leaders are stepping up to lead in their spheres of influence and seeking great-
er collaboration among teams on the field, promoting ownership and 'buy-in' and this
is so good to see. Africa has been Dan's particular focus for some years and there are
now 2 leadership teams emerging to cover this vast region.
Please pray for the right leadership team for North Africa, which has taken longer than
the other parts of the continent. Christine is directly involved, asking all the team lead-
ers questions about the future of the region which they hope will shape new paths and
create new opportunities. Pray for her to listen and communicate well.
Finally, Dan is stepping into more macro leadership and asks for you prayers to discern
wisely, decide courageously, and follow God’s leadership wholeheartedly for the organ-
ization.
