Verse 2• There’s a Centurion’s servant,

whom his master valued highly, who was sick and about to die.

Verse 3• The Centurion heard of Jesus and

sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.

Verse 4• When they came to Jesus, they

pleaded earnestly with Him.

Verse 5• “This man deserves to have you

do this” –image• “He loves our nation” – character• “Has built our synagogue” -

accomplishments

Verse 6• Jesus went with them because it

is a legitimate need. Jesus knew no barrier when it comes to meeting a need.

Verse 6• “Lord, don’t trouble Yourself…”• “…for I do not deserve to have

Conclusion – verse 9• When Jesus heard this, He was

AMAZED at Him!– The Centurion’s faith was honored.– His Word was fulfilled.
