Note: Read assembly directions before cutting patches. Borders are cut to exact length required plus ¼” seam allowance. WOF designates the width of fabric from selvedge to selvedge (approximately 42” wide).
Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout when assembling the quilt top.All strips and squares not labeled are Fabric F)
Layer and quilt as desired. Finishing the Quilt
Bind as desired.
Separate the (80) 2 ½” x WOF strips by colors and cut the components as indicated below:
Fabric A (8) 2 ½” x 4 ½” stripsAssorted Greens
Fabric B (40) 2 ½” x 4 ½” stripsAssorted Tans
Fabric C (32) 2 ½” x 4 ½” stripsAssorted Pinks
Fabric D (41) 2 ½’ x 4 ½” stripsAssorted Browns
Fabric E (104) 2 ½” x 4 ½” stripsAssorted Teals
Fabric F (30) 2 ½” squaresAssorted Colors (224) 2 ½” x 4 ½” strips.
Binding (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips Backing Cut (2) 66” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together and trim to make (1) 66” x 72” backing.
Sew (15) assorted 2 ½” x 4 ½” strips together end to end. Sew (1) 2 ½” square to each end of the strip to make (1) Odd Column. Repeat to make (15) Odd Columns total.
Sew (16) assorted 2 ½” x 4 ½” strips together end to end to make (1) Even Column. Repeat to make (14) Even Columns total.
Sew together lengthwise the (29) columns, alternating the odd and even columns to make the quilt top
Sew the (7) binding strips together, end to end with a 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
