The problem between the farmers and the Fox family makes Mrs. Fox very
scared. She wakes up quickly when the family is in danger. In the book it says that
she was quivering all over. Quivering means that she was shaking because she was
scared. She is also very worried that the farmers will hurt her children. Mrs. Fox
gets very worried when her family is in trouble.

Mr. Fox does not give up when the Fox family is in danger. When the
farmers start digging out the Fox family, Mr. Fox comes up with a plan. Mr. Fox
says, “A fox can dig quicker than a man”. He makes a plan for the Fox family to
start digging so they won’t get caught. Mr. Fox is a great leader and protects his
family.
