Stocktake Workshops - Balancing Supply and Demand
Over 40 people attended the workshops
held earlier in May 2013 to learn more
about land condition, monitoring and
management.
These workshops were part of a project to
improve the condition of pasture cover
across areas of South East Queensland,funded by the Australian Governments
Caring for our Country.
Upcoming Sustainable Grazing Field Day
If you are interested in learning more about grazing management, this field daytakes you to visit two properties.
Find out more about:
what sustainable farming practices landholders have adopted on their
property how this has contributed to improved production
more about the planning process
discussion on grazing management
demonstration of land condition monitoring
Friday 14 June, 9am - 1pm
Visit 1 - Mt Binga Rd, Cooyar, visit to an
example property involved in a project to
improve the condition of pasture cover.
There will be an overview of some of the
grazing management practices and
sustainable farming techniques adopted.
Visit 2 - East Cooyar, visit to an example soil health project to look at crops,
discuss soil test results and view other sustainable landholder practices.

rainforest field day

A morning bus trip is planned to
visit several sites in the
Mooloolah Valley to see some
great properties and learn how
landholders are improving the
condition and connectivity of the
endangered lowland subtropical
rainforest on their own land.
