Dear Margo & the Ladies from the Lamplighters Women on Mission Group, Thank you so much for your gift to support the 24/7 Satellite and Online Gospel TV Broadcast! We are excited to report that the broadcast was launched recently. We look forward to how the Lord will use this broadcast to draw many unreached people to Himself here in one of the largest unreached countries in the world. We know of one new believer whose wife (not yet a believer) watched the Jesus Film on TV. She cried during Christ’s crucifixion, so clearly the Holy Spirit is working on her heart. She has not yet professed faith. Her husband has been persecuted for his faith and has been witnessing to her and making sure she gets more and more exposure to Christ. Imagine how many people like her will be affected by this broadcast. Please lift her up and millions of others like her. Lift up her husband who longs to see his wife, children, and extend family join him in following Jesus. We love y’all and appreciate y’all so much. Greetings to all our brothers and sisters at FBC Jasper! Love in Christ, Craig & Susan

Mision Trip 2016July 26, 2016 Dear Kyle:

We just wanted to let you know how pleased we were to be the beneficiaries of The First Baptist Church of Jasper’s generosity and hard work. The “Gold Mine” area, water station, ramp at the splash pad and maintenance shop turned out fantastic. We were amazed by the quality of work and character of everyone that was here. We also appreciate the young ladies that helped in the dining hall and the additional donation of prospector pans from the children. It is very rare to find a group that is willing to donate their time or money for projects. It is even more to find a group that does both. Without people like you and your church members, Camp ASCCA would not exist. I also wanted to thank you personally for contacting us and thinking about Camp ASCCA and ourcampers. I hope that we can be involved with The First Baptist Church of Jasper in any futureprojects. If I can ever be of any service to you or your family please don’t hesitate to call. Sincerely,Matt Rickman

The first month of preschool is off to a great start! We had curriculum night for the parents only and had about 85% in attendance. There we discussed the ins and outs of the school and all the church staff talked about our church and all the programs in which visitors could participate. We are gearing up for the end of the month where we will be having Doughnuts with Dad. This is a great event! The children, as well as the dads, really enjoy the time spent together. Thank you so much to all who have made the library possible…we use it daily and the children and the teachers love it! We had a special visitor the first week of school, Ariel, who came in and read to the entire school. It was magical for so many. Also a huge thank you to those who stepped up to help with scholarships. We have quite a group that were in need of assistance this year for scholarships, and I’m so thankful that we have such a generous church to fill this need. What a blessing and ministry the school program is to so many families in our community. I have already had people calling in to put their children on the waiting list for Kindergarten next year as well as many of the other classes.

Thank you all for your support and for your willingness to serve. Blessings,Cassie Rasco

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Fall Kickoff Splash Party an amazing success! For those who weren’t able to come, the lawn in front of the church office was filled with families playing water games and eating hotdogs. It was a WONDERFUL evening filled with lots of new and familiar faces. We are now well into the swing of our Wednesday night routine and the halls are bustling with one of the best sounds – the sounds of children! Please mark your calendars for our Fall Festival on Sunday, October 30th. It will be a Hollywood movie star theme! We will need lots of people to help, do-nations of candy, and lots of kids ready to have fun! More information will be available soon on how you can help. Please help us maintain our worship clipboards by re-turning them to the basket at the end of the service. We sharpen the pencils and replenish the paper each week so they will be ready for the next Sunday. If you have one at home, please return it to the basket either in the chapel or sanctuary Thanks! Kim Mason

You may have seen her a few times at our 11:00 service playing Cello, or at the 9:00 service leading with the band. We are excited to have her as part of the team and are confident that the congregation with welcome her with open hearts and arms! For more information on Ruth introduce yourself to her, or check out her bio on our website!

Thank you, FBCJ friends, for again showing your spirit of caring and giving when faced with providing aid in a time of need. Your generous response to West Virginia children who were victims of record flooding at the end of June helped to give them a close to normal start of the school year last week. Jasper First Baptist donated 285 backpacks to these students in economically challenged areas where there was extreme flood damage. What a difference it makes in the life of a child to know that someone cares! - Brenda Wynn
