Show Report

What a relief to get there Thursdaymorning and to be wearing shorts anda T shirt, the sun was out and by theend of Thursday we had the campingand rings all marked up and ready.Friday came and again another lovelyday with equipment arriving and beingput in place, now it started to look likea show, the campers were beingbooked in steadily throughout the day.We had a bit of a panic on Friday nightwhen the caterers got delayed and wehad loads of our lovely cream cakessitting waiting to go into the coolboxovernight and for those of you who

didn't hear Glen came back out andcollected them and they spent thenight in the Ashford InternationalHotel, so very special cakes indeed andmany thanks to Glen.

Saturday morning and yet againanother lovely day, we had the KennelClub inspector arrive first thing tocheck everything was following KCrules and regs. and I am pleased to saywe passed with flying colours in fact hesaid he would like to come on holidayat our show next year!

Sunday morning we had a little rainfirst thing but it soon passed and wasyet another superb day. So a big thankyou to all the club members who camealong and helped over the four days,all the friends and family memberswho also helped and of course to allthe competitors and judges too. It's thefirst time ever I have been up on thegate and people have been stopping tosay thank you for such a lovely showon their way out of the venue. It wasalso lovely to see Norma at the showand how proud she was of her twodogs run by Jennifer and Gail in theAllsorts pairs when they won 2ndplace, well done to all club memberson all the super places you won overthe weekend. Also thanks to the people

invovled in the numerous pre showpreperations of which there are manyfor all their hard work and time spent,a real team effort.

These are some of the comments Ireceived over the weekend which Ithought you would like to hear;

'such a well organised friendly showeverything is clearly marked out andyou know whats what'

'what a helpful friendly lot the StourValley Club are'

'Thank you for the lovely rosettes andtrophies and what a wonderful ideahaving certificates too.'

'you all put a tremendous amount ofwork in to making it a great show and Iwas proud to be a part of a great club(this was a text I received from Normaon Sunday night)

'no expenses, I had a fabulousweekend which I thoroughly enjoyed. Ihave had so much feed back sinceshow that it was a priveledge to havetaken part, all the very best for thefuture, Andy Longley'

So all in all a very successful showfor the club, lets hope next year bringsus the same luck. Well done everyone.
