FAMILY NEWS

Sunday we were blessed in our worship to the

Father. We enjoyed having visitors in our

assembly. I hope you are planning to be present

this coming Lord’s Day.

Let’s keep praying that God will provide

opportunities to invite people to our

services. There are people only you

can influence to attend. Let’s have

each family encouraging people to

come and worship with us each week.

Our Wednesday night service continues to be

good. On Sunday I saw some families

present that we had reached out to the

previous Wednesday night. This tells us

that encouraging people helps in our

attendance. Let’s make Wednesday

night an important activity. See you for

Wednesday Night with the Master at 6:00 p.m.

Our Sunday morning Bible class starts at 9:30

a.m. Your family and you will be

encouraged by being a part of a

Bible class. Let’s come and study

the word of God.

Bible Time is taking place each Sunday morning.

It is for children between three years

old and the second grade. We can

use your help! Please sign up in the

foyer.

There are several sign-up sheets in the foyer for

different things. You as a member can be

involved in helping with these activities.

This is how a church family accomplishes

what needs to be done ̶ by volunteering to

be a part of the activities that take place

each week. Please help us and sign up to

be a part of ongoing activities in the

church.

"...The prayer of a righteous person

has great power as it is working.” James 5:16

Bobby Mitchell is home following a brief stay at

UTMB Angleton/Danbury…Betsy Wall remains

in Methodist Hospital but has moved to Jones

cancer; he will undergo chemotherapy and

then surgery.

FROM ZACH

If you would like to host one of our devotionals,

there is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

Our next devo is October 7th at the home of Pam

Hillman. Please let me know if you are planning to attend!

If you would like to help with our Harvest Party

on October 31, there is a sign-

up sheet in the foyer. Please

write your name under the area

you would like to volunteer, such

as participating in the trunk-r-treat, manning a

game, or helping with food.

Trek dates have been set for June 23–29! We

will be having a MANDATORY trek meeting

October 21st following our morning service. If you

would like to attend trek I need you at this

meeting.

We have been live streaming our Sunday A.M.

services on Facebook. We are needing your

assistance to help share these live streams. If

you subscribe to our Facebook page and see

that we have begun our stream, please share it!

If you are interested in running the stream and

video computer, please come see me.

Sunday, October 14, we will be having our first

family event! All are invited to

come to our family picnic

following morning services! We

will be meeting at Masterson Park to eat and

play games with our teens and children! The

address for the park is 101 S Arcola St,

Angleton, TX 77515. Please bring comfortable

clothes and a sack lunch!

Erma and I will be gone on Sunday morning,

October 14. I will be speaking at the

Midway church in Santa Fe for their

special event. The month of October

they are having special service each

Sunday. They have invited three out-of-town

speakers for the first three Sundays. On the last

Sunday of October, their minister will speak, and

they will have a luncheon to invite everyone to

attend. This is their outreach to their community.

Please pray for Erma and me and remember the

Midway church in your prayers. We will be back

in Angleton on Sunday night.

Take time each week to read the Bible. The

schedule is printed every Sunday in our handout

and is online at www.angletoncofc.org.

As you know we have been livestreaming our

Sunday morning services. Last

Sunday morning we had over 200

viewers. This number is up from

previous weeks because some of

you are sharing the video and encouraging friends

to take a look. Please continue to support our

social media posts. By doing so you are helping to

reach out to our community. Leland
