How we met and the proposal: Kirby's mother (Joy) moved to Corpus for a work opportunity in 2013. Adrian knew Kirby's sister (Nikki) from college (Univ of Oklahoma). When Kirby's mom moved to town Nikki asked Adrian to show her around. A few months later Kirby came to CC to visit her mom. Adrian decided to meet Kirby and her mother at Hester's for a casual lunch (the one at the Art Museum by the Harbor Bridge). Adrian entered and saw Kirby for the 1st time at Hester's and the sparks began to fly. She introduces herself as "Kirby"... he smiles. As Adrian introduces himself he notices, out the window of Hester's, a barge pass under the bridge. There was a name on the side of the barge that read, "Kirby." The rest is history...
Favorite detail: Bride: Marrying where we met. Groom: We wed at the same location we met!
Favorite moment: Bride: Adrian's face when I read my vows. Groom: Seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time down the aisle.
Biggest challenge: Bride: Greeting wedding guests. Groom: Being able to say hi and spend time with the wedding guests.
Most embarrassing moment: Bride: When a wedding guest spilled her drink down my back! Luckily it was a white liquor.
If you could do one thing over: Bride: Not stress over the guest list! Groom: Less planning, managing and worrying about details and more partying.
One piece of advice: Bride: The perfect people will be there and it will be perfect. Don't over plan or over stress. Groom: Don't over plan, leave room during wedding for you and your bride to have time together, and enjoy it with loved ones!
Why you got married: Bride: Marriage is one giant adventure. I love growing, evolving and thriving with my best friend. Groom: Best buddies, she's my life adventure partner!
How to make your spouse happy: Bride: Playing the guitar and surprises! Groom: Cupcakes.
What you look forward to most: Bride and Groom: Travel, starting our business ideas and lounging!
